i kinda just noticed that I never say anything here but i've been super inspired lately with a benedict OS fic (longings locked) i just labeled as COMING SOON and it will come sooner than the anthony fic i put in my masterlist like...
last year 😭
i've actually written a few chapters of the anthony one and i might start posting them as soon as i'm sure my inspiration won't end halfway through it (been there, done that) (i will post it soon bc i couldn't have written all that IN VAIN)
this is me:
anyways, as a compensation, i'm gonna share a bit of it. it's titled "tarnished, but so grand", and this is the summary:
you, your mother, and younger sisters were left to your own devices after your father's death with no one to take care or provide for you. thankfully, high society's ties were always useful, and you got an interview with none other than viscount anthony bridgerton for the job of his sister's governess. and yes, he could have expected about anything except to fall for you in such invasive, magnificently cursed manner when he was supposed to be looking for his very own wife.
if this flops i'll delete in immediately🙄
anyways, here comes the sneak peek:
After two months of knowing you, Anthony could say he got used to you not giving yourself credit for anything. He believed it was something that had to do with the sense of responsibility of being the eldest child who was imposed the task of providing for your family in a world that deprived your gender of opportunities to do just that. He saw himself in you often enough, and that might be the reason why he was so driven to you.
You nodded. “I saw him struggling and reached out to help. Did I take a liberty beyond my place?”
“Not at all. I could never question your place in this household, Miss Luddington,” Anthony was quick to erase the idea from your mind. “What I mean to say is thank you. This goes beyond your job as Hyacinth's governess, and it is not that I have any issue whatsoever. I only wish to thank you for helping Gregory as I've also taken notice of how much you have done for Eloise. This is going to be quite a difficult season for all of us, so I am incredibly grateful to you for taking the burden of my sister's stubbornness off my shoulders.”
You looked at him surprised. “You are very welcome, My Lord, but you mustn't thank me for anything.” you waved off after a sigh. “It does not need to be so difficult for all of you. I am sure that Eloise is more relaxed and her aversion for the upcoming events has been fading. You should not worry too much about her.”
Anthony cleared his throat. “I didn't mean it because of Eloise only… I have decided to start looking for a wife this season.”
That was everything but expected.
“Oh…”
Your lips formed a fine line at the thought, and you wanted to scold yourself for that painful weight growing in your gut.
“Yes… I believe it is time for me to settle down and find a wife, a viscountess. My mother has been too stressed with her responsibilities as the lady of the house, the Dowager Viscountess, and our mother. Once I marry, she will be more tranquil, freer.”
“That is right, My Lord,” you granted him. “Your mother has been tired lately. I wish you the best of luck on your quest, though I am a hopeless romantic, and dare I hope for you to find love instead of just a suitable partner.”
Anthony chuckled. “While I appreciate the sentiment, I am afraid I cannot afford that luxury.”
“You are a man, My Lord. One with power, at that. With all due respect, there are certainly not many things a person like you could consider a mere luxury, and your choice of a wife should not be one of them,” you mentioned, perhaps the alcohol giving you the guts to speak so freely. “God knows I would give anything to attend a ball, wear my fancy dresses and my jewels again, be asked to dance by handsome gentlemen, and be seen with utter admiration.”
“I take it it is your wish to marry.” he guessed, feeling his heart ache in your name.
You laughed, refilling the glass of whiskey and pouring one for him as well. “Now it is further than a dream… Papa promised me when I was a little girl that I would marry the man I loved. He said I was his daughter and that no man would ever deserve me, but I deserved whichever man I laid my eyes upon. Now I fear I shall die an old maid.”
“You can never be so sure.”
“Unfortunately, no man I marry would allow me to work, much less will he be able to provide for my entire family. I would have to marry a rich man for that, and I am afraid my status as a high society lady has been revoked. I could never get that,” you countered. “I also would not dare to abandon my dearest Hyacinth, and once she is done with her education, I will be too old to be wanted.”
“I can assure you, Miss Luddington, that it would be the most enormous waste on Earth if a lady as phenomenal as you passes before knowing what it feels like to be truly admired like she deserves.”
if you want to be added to the taglist of tarnished, but so grand, you can comment this post or dm me btw <3
if you want to be added to the longings locked's taglist, you can also let me know with a comment or dm, i'd be honored to add you
ALSO i wanted to thank you all for the support! this blog started with my matt murdock obsession and i want to write something else for him soon, but my current hyperfixation is bridgerton.
that would be all, thanks for reading! 🫶🏼

Ahhh! Camilla's birthday on the 30th and now Jakob's today?! It's hard to keep up!
Would you be open to write some kind of scenario for them with F!Corrin separately? I'd like you to have fun with this since you like Jakob! My only real request is that you keep the Camilla and F!Corrin one platonic/sisterly haha.
But yay! Love you, and excited to see what you write!
TO SAY THAT I *LIKE* JAKOB IS SAYING A LITTLE.
Also I wanted to make it as just random scenarios but while I was writing for Jakob it kinda carried me there so I thought I'll make something birthday related for Camilla too!
Jakob and Camilla with Corrin birthday scenario
Corrin here is female
Camilla's scene is platonic!
Jakob
Although he still remained as the person who dislikes mornings the most, he wasn't nearly as grumpy as before.
That is of course all thanks to his wife. Waking up next to her fills him with joy... But as he has his duties to fulfill, he often can't afford to stay with her for long.
So he sometimes could be found muttering "And to think I had to leave her for this" whenever he's annoyed by almost anything.
Imagine his surprise when he woke up and saw Corrin awake right next to him. For a second he thought he had overslept but she only smiled and excitedly said "Happy birthday dear" she couldn't allow anyone else to wish him a happy birthday before her after all.
He was so moved by it his usual morning behavior was out of the window. He was so happy he could cry. That morning he acted like nothing could worsen his mood, all thanks to Corrin.
She also insisted on helping him a little with his usual work (which took a lot of convincing) so they could enjoy more free time together.
It was so romantic, and she made sure to avoid everyone at all costs so nobody disturbed them once they went on their date.
It felt like they were in their own world. Nothing mattered but where they were there and then.
They talked, enjoyed tea, warmed each other up after coming back inside after being out in that ridiculously low temperature... It was their little heaven on earth.
It was definitely one of the best days he had in his life. And it set him for a good mood for more than just that day.
To the others it was very unusual to see Jakob act like that. But it didn't last for too long because before they knew it, he was back to normal. To his wife on the other hand he was the sweetest person he could be.
Camilla
There was a lot of things that she wanted to do with her sister. But recently Corrin had little to none time to spare for Camilla. Which made her disappointed to say the least.
She just wanted to relax, maybe have a spa day or even just take a nap together. Anything to see her adorable sister smile.
It got to a point where she wondered if they'd get the sibling bonding time at all. Ever since Corrin's "reunion with the Hoshido royals" nothing was like it used to be.
It made her quite mad, so she did scout around to have something to take her anger out on.
When she finally was back she felt guilty to find out that Corrin was looking for her. But it didn't take long before the sisters met.
Without any explanation Corrin told her to follow, so that's exactly what she did.
It turned out that even though yes war did keep her occupied, her most recent busyness was due to her plans for a surprise party. It was all for Camilla's birthday.
She was so glad to see that her sister was as sweet as ever. Although she paid attention to everyone at the party she did end up having Corrin make a few plans and promises.
So for the next week they had a lot of plans together to make up for all of that ignoring.
Ever since that incident they made sure to always have at least a day in a month dedicated strictly to bonding together. Of course they'd hang out more than just that. However that day will be special for both of them.
~Mod Bernadetta

so that boy i kissed a week or two ago has a girlfriend now. i hope she gets a better time with him than i did, honestly; are they supposed to keep their tongue inside your mouth for that long? it is a bit strange, still, because i was told he was head-over-heels for me and then he immediately goes and dates the first pretty girl he gets his hands on. seems like a conflict in interest to me, but what do i know about romance anyways? the only boy i've ever dated gave me an eating disorder and a saviour complex, and the person i was in love with for 8 months never saw me as anything more than a good friend, and everyone else i've ever liked was gay.
have i spoken about my eating disorder yet? it seems like the kind of thing you should know. whoever "you" are.
so i've always been slightly.. strange, with my eating habits. when i was a kid, i used to see how long i could go without eating before i got spots in my vision, and i wouldn't eat most foods for fear of their texture. i got it kind of under control for a few years, but then when things with jamie got awful, my eating was the first thing to go. i felt kinda like if i couldn't control whether or not he was gonna kill himself that night, then i could as least control what i was putting into my body, right? so i would just.. not eat. ever. i drank lots of energy drinks so i could stay awake, but i'd have maybe a piece of bread with low-calorie spread in the mornings and a third of a bowl of ramen at night, with peas if i felt brave.
and uh, shockingly, when you don't Fucking Eat for an entire summer, it has a bit of an effect on your physical health. notable things that happened to my body include:
having my hair fall out to a frankly insane degree every time i brushed it, leaving me with bald spots at the ripe old age of eleven
my collarbones and hips protruding so sharply out of my body that i'd wake up with bruises from sleeping on them
i got this weird like, peach fuzz layer all over my body? i asked my sister about it, and she said it was probably because i didn't have any fat to insulate myself, so i started growing something akin to fur to keep myself warm
on the topic of, being constantly cold. and i don't mean just a "oh, i wish i had a jumper" kind of cold, i'm talking it was heatwave weather and i was bundled up in hoodies and blankets too cold and weak to get out of bed
my breath smelt like fake sugar coffee and vomit all of the time, and it rotted the backs of my teeth every time i made myself sick
that's all of the main ones i can remember. i don't actually remember much from that summer, in all honesty, probably because my brain couldn't afford to keep memories when it was too occupied trying to keep me alive. most of what i know happened from back then is cause of rereading old text messages and having other people tell me what i was like back then.
whatever. i'm better now, and jamie's a million miles away, and that's the last i want to talk about this.
im gonna go and read some more oscar wilde now

so how are you today? Man you caught me at just the right time. Everyone is being fucking annoying. My mom has refused to talk to me and my siblings since Wednesday for reasons only she would know – the only difference now is that we’re all grown and have stopped seeking her validation, so we don’t actually care for this tantrum from a 50-year-old and are just more annoyed than anything lmao. Angela and Reena also for some reason are also being testy so I’ve had no choice but to bite back. Anyway, the only person I can tolerate right now is my sister and I’ve turned off my phone and kept it out of reach for the entire day, cos all I want to do and have to do is to cool down and get away from everyone eugh.
do you like to eat eggs? I like eggs but I get easily tired of the taste if the serving is too much in one meal. Something about it I can never get enough of, though, is when the yolk is runny.
when was the last time you had a cup of tea? It was in like December 2021 when the company gave a tea set as a gift for everyone and I decided to give tea a chance. (Didn’t work.)
do you have a tapestry in your bedroom? Nope.
have you ever been to London? I haven’t.
do you enjoy going to the library? I love libraries and wish we had more public ones...98% of the libraries we have are under schools, sooooo not super accessible. Another thing about libraries – I wish people went to actually read! Or otherwise, look for new things to read! Or discover genres they might not even know they’d love! Everrrrryone just goes to libraries for a quiet place to work and while that’s not wrong, it does kinda bum me out a bit...I wish people would have a deeper reason to go to libraries, and dare I say a deeper appreciation for them.
if you went to NYC (or if you’ve been) what are your favorite things to do there? I haven’t been, but I have two main things on my agenda when I land there – one is to go to ALL the museums New York could possibly offer me; the other is pizza.
who’s the most recent person on your Facebook feed? (if you have it) I am annoyed by people today and don’t feel like checking Facebook now lmao.
when (if ever) was the last time you saw that person? –
do you know anyone who has a pet bunny? Nah, we used to have one though.
can you play the violin? Nopes.
what’s the last movie you watched? Decision to Leave, but I didn’t finish it.
did you enjoy this movie? The cinematography and editing weren’t anything I’ve ever seen before and were both amazing; but plot-wise it was a challenge to keep me interested because I don’t like mystery and murder plots to begin with.
what store or website would you most like a gift card for? Nike.
how do you feel about wolves? Wouldn’t know how to manage one in real life.
what’s something you’re looking forward to? Spending the rest of this day alone and unbothered.
name your top 3 favorite musical instruments? To listen to? Piano, violin, saxophone.
what was the last book(s) you bought at a bookstore? Not an exact answer, but I very nearly picked up a copy of Saul Hofileña Jr’s Under the Stacks a month ago and stayed AGES at the bookstore thinking if I could afford to drop ₱900 on a book. Ultimately I decided against it but I’ve been itching to go back for it ever since. Books that compile essays about anything and everything social history are super hard to come by, and that beauty of a book does exactly that; I just have to gather budget for it first, lol.
does the song you’re listening to/last heard evoke any emotion for you? Not really. I like how vicious of a punch it gives in the lyrics, but it’d probably be too much of a reach to say it changed my life.
do you use pinterest? Mainly for work since I do a lot of event pitching and planning, and always need Pinterest for pegs and mockups.
are you wearing earrings? Nopes.
if so, describe them: I’m not wearing anything but thanks for reminding me that I really need to start investing in some good clip-ons.
do you know any sign language? Just basic phrases and most letters of the alphabet.
have you ever seen the musical Ragtime? Never even heard of it.
do you have a favorite poem? Not really, I’m not a big fan of poems.
do you like Indian food? Crazy for it. It’s my favorite cuisine and it’s been so long since I’ve had it that it almost feels illegal.
describe your favorite scarf, if you have one: None; I never need them unless I’m flying out to a really cold country.
do you have a dog? Yeah, I have two of them.
have you ever read the Little House on the Prairie series? Sounds familiar but no, I don’t think I ever have.
do you have any homework? I’ve got work I should be doing, but I cannot be assed to do that anymore on weekends. The days of Fired-Up-Corporate-Slave-Robyn-Who-Can-Work-Weekends have long been laid to rest.
have you ever gone on a service trip to an underprivileged country? I already live in an underprivileged country lol, but yes – when I was in private school we did use to do visits and interactions and such with underprivileged groups and help with everyday tasks in their community.
do you need to do laundry? No.
do you enjoy going out for breakfast? Not really, mainly because I hate heading out at a really early hour. What I like to do instead is to go to restaurants that serve all-day breakfast so I can have it regardless of the time of day.
have you ever performed in front of more than 100 people? Sure.
do you like muffins? Just the chocolate chip type.
when (if ever) was the last time you went to church? This morning.
have you ever heard the singer Audra McDonald? Yeah I used to have a friend who was obsesseddddddddd with Private Practice and as far as I know she was on that show.

UNHOLY — S. Rogers
pairing(s): Stark!Reader x Steve Rogers ; Sharon Carter x Steve Rogers
warnings: 18+ only ; minors dni ; unprotected sex, pure smut.
a/n: english is not my first language, so please be gentle with me 🙏🏻, it’s my first time writing here, i hope you’ll like it <3 ; third person narrator.
disclaimer: unlike the meaning of the song, reader is not a whore, some changes have been made.
soundtrack(s): Unholy - Sam Smith ft. Kim Petras ; Traitor - Olivia Rodrigo
synopsis: you’re Tony Stark’s daughter, one of the Avengers and you’ve always had a huge crush on America’s Golden Boy, the one and only Captain America, and he also did. However, when he decided to marry Sharon Carter and have children with her, your desire for him increased disproportionately.
words: 4.1k
It was a rainy day, Sharon and her children had retired to their rooms scattered throughout the Avengers Compound to rest and wait for the head of the family, who was returning from errands to run, according to what he previously said, so they could do family activities.
Rebecca and Harrison, were playing videogames in their playroom. Even though they were both teenagers, they loved spending time and resting in that room.
«That's strange, dad should be home by now...» said Rebecca, the youngest.
«..he probably found traffic.» she added later.
Harrison, the elder of the two, kinda knew where his father was and why he was running so late; he had discovered it a couple of months ago, accidentally overhearing a conversation between his father and Y/n Stark.
Little did he know that his father’s heart belonged to Stark’s daughter and, to be honest, he was happy with that. He adored Y/n, she would babysit him when he was younger, their bond was more unbreakable than his father’ shield made out of vibranium.
His mother, though, didn’t know anything, and so did his sister.
With a smirk on his face, still focused on the game, he opened his mouth.
«Mummy don’t know daddy’s getting hot, at the body shop; doing something unholy.»
«What are you saying Harrison?» asked confused Rebecca.
«Nothing, don’t worry Bex. I was just murmuring something..» replied the boy still keeping that smirk on his face..
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
«It's been a long time since I've been here.. I see you've been remodeling your house.» his voice echoing in the living room of the immense apartment of Tony Stark's future billionaire heiress.
«And it’s only the living room you see, wait until you see the rest of the house.» answered a girl of average height, long wavy brown hair with a curvy but athletic body shape.
«Long time no see, doll.» added the guy, the one and only Steve Rogers himself.
«I've noticed that you always practice when I'm not around, this has been going on for a while....» continued.
«Your wife is always in the way, that's why I never train when you're around.» said Y/n annoyed.
«I guess you're here to get your Harley fixed, right? I saw it on the workshop cameras.» added her.
«You’re right.. and I’m here also because I miss you.» Steve said by approaching the girl.
«Don't try to soften me up Rogers, you know very well it doesn’t work with me. In the last few months you've become Sharon's shadow, barely paying attention to me, and I'm not just talking about us outside the team.» scolded off Y/n.
«Oh, c’mon Stark, you're old enough to understand that what we're doing is wrong... and I can't afford to make any missteps... I have two children.»
«Then why are you here? I didn’t even want you to come. I left the compound just to let you alone with your family, and avoid any suspiciouns about us. We spent a lot of time together, your son also overheard one of our conversations. it's a miracle he hasn't said anything to anyone yet.» said Y/n going in her bedroom, followed by the captain who was trying hard to make contact with her.
It had been months since the two had last had sexual intercourse, and he missed her terribly.
He missed her like when you miss the air when you’re underwater in the pool or the sea.
«You are so attractive Y/n. this outfit looks particularly good on you... I think it has some power over my body...» said Steve with a smirk on his face while Y/n was innocently bending over by the bed to grab some clothes and put them in the cabinet.
She was wearing nothing but a Victoria's Secret black satin kimono with lace trim, which covered her toupee and coulottes.
That outfit, contributed in creating a bulge under Captain Rogers' black skinny jeans.
«..It has some power over your body? Are you kidding me Rogers?» she said, pretending to be shocked as she slowly approached the boy.
«Are you sure it’s the outfit and nothing else?» she added, moving to lock the door and then moving back in front of the boy, placing her hands on his black leather jacket and pushing him toward the dark red velvet sofa near the huge windows of her bedroom, forcing him to sit down.
«Did I touch a devole point perhaps?» Said steve in a provocative tone.
Y/n fastened her kimono and positioned herself astride Steve, bringing her intimacy closer to the Captain's, rubbing lightly.
Rogers lowered his eyes for a brief moment, observing the form of the girl sitting on him, meanwhile his bulge grew larger and larger.
«You know, Captain… a lucky, lucky girl, she got married to a boy like you.. she'd kick you out if she ever, ever knew, ‘bout all the shit you tell me that you do..» she began to say whispering in his ear, referring to his wife, Sharon.
«Dirty, dirty boy, you know everyone is talkin' on the scene. I hear them whisperin' 'bout the places that you've been, and how you don't know how to keep your business clean» continued her, kissing every inch of loose skin on his face and neck, provoking him.
«Mummy don’t know daddy’s getting hot, at the body shop; doing something unholy.» Said Steve imitating a child's voice as, with superhuman speed he grabbed Y/n by the hips and, sketching a wicked grin, catapulted himself onto the girl's marriage bed, gently resting her body beneath his.
«There he is, that’s the Captain I know, always ready to le-» as she spoke, Y/n was interrupted by Steve's lips colliding against hers in a long, passionate kiss.
«If you don't shut your mouth, I swear I'm going to fuck you like there's no tomorrow.» growled the supersoldier.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
«He’s sat back while she’s droppin’ it, yeah, she put it down slowly.. Oh-ee-oh-ee-oh, he left his kids at
ho-ee-oh-ee-ome so he can get that» said Harrison choosing another videogame to play.
«Harrie, you’re scaring me. What are you saying?» added worried Rebecca, not knowing what was going through his brother’s head.
«I’ll wake mummy up, so she can call daddy. It's pouring outside, dad’s with the bike.» cooed the girl standing up and moving towards the door to go wake her mother.
«You’re so innocent Rebecca, he’s a grown up and besides, also a supersoldier, capable of taking care of himself while it’s raining outside.» laughed Harrison.
«Why are you telling me that I’m innocent? I don’t understand» sighed the girl.
«Do you remember Y/n, right? look around, she’s Tony Stark’s daughter, part of the Avengers, and she doesn’t live here anymore.» started Harrison.
«She used to babysit me when I was younger and mom travelled around the world for her missions. Dad was always with her, they were so close, and uncle Bucky told me that they were even before Dad and Mom met and then married» continued.
«You know.. she’s special, and dad thinks about it all the time. I do still love her. I really spent a lot of time with her, even called her mom, just because I hardly ever saw ours.» confided the boy.
«However, one day, mom argued with dad because of the relationship that had developed between me and Y/n.. she couldn't stand that I called her “mom” and blamed dad for not separating her from me and not intervening sooner.» added with a sad tone.
«Oh lord.. but I still don’t understand what does this have to do with dad.» delineated Rebecca.
«When Y/n left the compound, dad tried his best to make her stay, but she felt guilty and would not listen to any other reason.»
«Since that day, dad started to sneak out of the compound and visit her, they spend a lot of time alone. He misses her, and I guess she misses him too, the curious thing is that they have never had a love affair, but maybe they have some other kind of affair -- if you notice, mom and dad are not very intimate..» ended Harrison.
«So you’re saying that dad cheates on mum with Tony’s daughter?» questioned the girl.
«I’m not saying it, it’s just a suspicion I have. And even if it was real, I could only be happier about it. That girl is pure oxygen for dad, she makes him feel alive.» replied her brother.
«You’re happy about it? Are you nuts? He’s CHEATING on mom with another girl! How could you be happy about it?! We need to tell mommy!» blurted out Rebecca, running towards her mother’s room.
«What an idiot. She should not get involved in their business. That was confident.» whispered to himself Harrison.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
«Do you like when I’m on top of you, Stark?» growled Steve rubbing his intimacy against Y/n’s.
«Or maybe you like when I touch you..» continued while one hand ran down the girl's crotch, moving the flap of fabric covering her pussy with two fingers while exploring the area, moistened with arousal.
«Look at you, doll, so wet for me.. you have no idea of how much this turns me on.. I want to eat you out right now.» whispered Steve as he kissed her neck and left scattered purple marks.
«Then do it, daddy, I’m not stopping you» hissed Y/n.
Being called “daddy” by Y/n excited him to death and also drove him crazy. His eyes turned dark blue, the pupils enlarged and all of his body stiffened.
The two fingers he had placed under the fabric she was wearing reached her clitoris, making her jump slightly. It was a risky and unexpected move, but one that made her moan his name.
«Say it again Y/n» he ordered, slowly entering her pussy and starting fingering her.
«S-st-steve.. please..» moaned her arching her back.
«Oh god, I love it when you call my name.» added the Captain, removing his fingers.
With a swift movement he slipped off Y/n's coulottes and spread her legs apart, positioning himself between them, not before giving her a long, wicked kiss.
«I’ll make you cum until I heard you call out my name.» growled him, licking out her wet folds.
«I love your taste, baby. I’ve missed it.» continued while eating her out with circular, alternating movements between fast and slow. All of a sudden he slipped two fingers inside her, and began to move faster, while his mouth was focused on sucking and biting her clitoris.
His movements made her wiggle and arch her back. Y/n felt heat forming in her lower abdomen, and she was aware that she was about to reach her orgasm. She then decided to open her mouth and beg Steve to make her come.
«Steve please, I’m coming.. f-faster..» begged her.
«What did you call me?» he said stopping.
«You know how to call me. Now turn around and go doggy style. You broke one of our rules, and need a punishment. Do you remember? Never call me by my name unless I tell you to.» he scolded off while Y/n was adjusting herself, removing the rest of the clothing she had on.
«I’m sorry, daddy.. I promise I’ll be a good girl.. don’t punish me..» she cried out.
«I don’t care about what you say, you’ll get your punishment.» he said while removing all of his clothes and underwear, spreading y/n’s leg and settling between them. His cock, hard and vascular, twitched. Steve could see drops of pre-seminal fluid leaking from his foreskin.
«I’ve missed you so much. You have no idea of how frustrating it was to have to jerk me off only thinking about you, unable to touch you or have you riding my cock. And, by the way, he missed your mouth.. care to give him a kiss later?» he growled thrusting into her suddenly, making her whimper.
«As you p-please daddy..» she whimpered. He waited a few minutes, just to let Y/n adjust herself, then started pushing mercilessly into her, the sound of their skin colliding also echoed in the room, between their moans.
As he fucked her without restraint, Steve grabbed her hair, causing Y/n's head to bend back slightly, and with his other free hand slapped her ass repeatedly and powerfully, leaving her with red marks from his hand. That, was her punishment.
«I can feel your folds contracting and shrinking around my cock.. look how good you are at taking my cock.. oh god Y/n, you’re so wet and tight..» he said thrusting powerfully, exchanging positions quickly, so she was now upon him.
«Care to ride my cock, babygirl? Show daddy how good you are at riding it.. I really want to see how those pretty boobs of yours bounce along your movements..» he ordered as the girl obeyed.
«I’ll do whatever you please d-daddy.. but I feel like I’m c-coming.. please let me c-come..» she cried out.
«Ride me, now!» he shouted placing one hand on her hip and one on her breast, squeezing it.
She started riding his cock, as her walls clenched and tighten around his shaft, her body trembling and her breath suddenly icreasing.
«Do you want me t-to cu-cum all over your body or do you want me to fill you up, baby?» he questioned.
«I’m your personal slut, captain. You decide.» she responded, feeling heat increase all over her body, especially in her low abdomen.
Hearing those words, Steve pulled Y/n in for a kiss, by positioning the hand which was previously on her hip, behind her neck.
He bit her lip, causing her to moan against his mouth and causing him to help her reach her climax by pushing even harder into her.
As soon as she approached her climax, so did he and they came together.
Y/n could feel Steve's cum fill her to the last drop and, Steve, could feel Y/n's pussy shrinking around his cock.
Suddenly their movements slowled to a complete stop, and that was when Steve positioned Y/n beside him, kissing her forehead and caressing her.
«You were so good at taking my cock..» he said taking breath.
«No one can get it the way I can, Steve.» she whispered in his ear with a smirk, slowly moving down to his still erect cock, placing one hand around the length and placing her mouth on the foreskin, opening it slightly and taking it into.
Steve was silent, he had no words, nothing to say, so bent his head back, settled down, and let the girl do everything. From time to time there was eye contact, which made his cock contract.
Y/n went on like that for about fifteen minutes, until Steve reached his second orgasm and came in her mouth.
Wiping with her fingers the nooks and crannies where cum had leaked, Y/n swallowed and snuggled down next to Steve, putting her head on his chest so she could feel his heartbeat.
«It tastes so good..» she said leaving kisses on his cheeks and mouth.
«I wish you could stay here forever, Steve.. I really want to.» sighed Y/n.
«You have no idea how much I would like that too... however, I'm married, and you know that.»
Hearing those words, Y/n's heart began to ache. She knew well that Steve, her first and only true love, was unattainable.
They had known each other for years, but she always missed the chance to tell him how she felt. He, too, was no different, too shy to confess his feelings to her, too intimidated by turning against Tony.
Years later, however, the two were still unconscious about their feelings for each other.
Their sexual relationship began on Steve's wedding day. He was the one who had started this adventure. He needed to clear his head, and as he locked himself in one of the rooms of the mansion where the reception was taking place, he found y/n unnerved.
Without a second thought, he catapulted himself onto her, and they had a sexual intercourse, in which she took part without backing down.
From then on, they began seeing each other secretly until Steve became a father and asked her for the favor of babysitting his son Harrison when both he and his mother were indisposed.
Eventually Harrison grew up together with his father and babysitter as his mother, Sharon, was often away on business. When the couple later argued because Harrison called Y/n “mom” instead of Sharon, Y/n felt guilt crushing her chest and thus decided to leave.
She tried to return but, seeing the couple reunited and close-knit, decided to leave the Avengers Compound for good and live alone, away from everyone. She no longer trained with the team, no longer spent time with the Avengers, and only showed up at the Compound when Steve was not there. By now she frequented that place only for her father.
«Y/n.. I have something to say..» he whispered turning around to face her.
«Say it, then.» she responded.
«I… uhm..» he esitated for a moment «I…»

«Mummy wake up, I have to tell you something important.» said Rebecca gently shaking her mother.
«Is daddy home?» questioned Sharon, who was waking up.
«No, he’s not, but I know where he might be!» responded the girl.
«Where’s he?» said Sharon, meanwhile from the hallway there was the noise of the footsteps of someone running, and that someone was indeed Harrison.
«Dad’s at Y/n’s pl-» started Rebecca before being interrupted by her brother.
«Dad’s at Y/n Stark’s workshop, his bike needed to be fixed, he called me a few minutes ago.» said Harrison showing the list of recent calls to his mother.
«So he’s on his way home?» asked Rebecca.
«Yes he is, and also says he’s sorry for running late.» answered Harrison, giving his mother a kiss on the cheek and walking towards his bedroom, followed shortly after by his sister.
«I swear to god Bee, if you try even one more time to tell mom what I told you, I will make you pay for it.» hissed the boy.
His sister didn’t respond, she just nodded her head and retired to her bedroom quietly.

Steve was about to say something to Y/n when he was interrupted by the ringtone of his cell phone.
It was his son, he had called persistently and had left about 20 messages.
He responded in a hurry and quickly put his clothes back on, not before cleaning himself up.
«Look, Y/n I’m sorry but I gotta go.» he said buttoning his belt.
«Wait, you were about to tell me something, what is it then?» she questioned with a puzzled look mixed with sadness.
«Nothing, forget about it. See you little Stark» he ended the conversation, rushing out of the girl’s house.
Tears began to form in Y/n's eyes, but she shook her head and headed to the bathroom, to wash herself.
She filled the tub with warm water and set the shuffle playback on Spotify.
To her surprise "Traitor" by Olivia Rodrigo started up and she began to sing it at the top of her lungs.
God, I wish that you had thought this through
Before I went and fell in love with you
[…]
Don't you dare forget about the way
You betrayed me
And I know that you'll never feel sorry
For the way I hurt, yeah
[…]
Loved you at your worst, but that didn't matter
[…]
Guess you didn't cheat, but you're still a traitor.
«I love you, Rogers.. I really do.» she whispered to herself before washing her face with hot water and relax her tensed muscles.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Steve’s bike got fixed and he rushed home, with guilt that wouldn’t leave him.
On his way home, he had made a decision, to leave her wife so he could spend the rest of his days with Y/n, his true love.
«I’m back!» shouted Rogers approaching the rooms reserved for his family.
«Finally, Bex and Har thought you were lost.» said Sharon hugging his husband, without getting a hug in response.
«What’s wrong with you, Stevie? Did something happen?» questioned the blonde.
«We need to talk.» He coldly replied.
The two went to the meeting room, surrounded by soundproof glass, and once inside, Steve confessed in full detail everything that had been and still was present between him and Y/n. He felt guilty, both about his children and his wife, but most of all he felt guilty about the girl he truly loved.
Sharon was shocked, not expecting it, however, she understood. Indeed, she had recently met a man who worked with her at SHIELD and they had started dating, but never sleeping together, for now.
They were playing with equal arms, both adulterers, both guilty of each other's suffering. Yet Sharon could not believe that all this time Steve had hidden this from her. She could understand weeks, months... but even years? And with two children in between?
After a heated argument, the two came to the conclusion that they had to break off their marriage.
Several days later, they decided to communicate the decision to their children, who, in understanding their father -Harrison in particular, who was happy for him- did not take it badly.
For her part, Sharon decided to leave the Avengers Compound and move back to her old home.
Steve and the children would remain living in the same place.
From that time on, Steve almost never called Y/n again; he wanted to wait until his divorce was official before contacting her again. Up to that point he had ignored her, and he felt terribly guilty.
He was aware that Y/n was suffering, but he promised himself that he would never make her feel bad again.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
It had been months since Y/n and Steve last had sex. A week after that event, Y/n began to experience strange symptoms, such as nausea and belly pain.Frightened, she decided to take a pregnancy test, which, to her surprise, came back positive.
Having had no relations with anyone other than Steve, the fetus in her womb could only be his.
However, Steve's estrangement pained her and not a little, but she still decided to keep the baby, who only after a couple of weeks turned out to have a twin.
And there she is, six months later, pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. Captain America's children.
When Steve ran to Y/n to talk to her and tell her about the divorce, he almost had a stroke.
He felt his world come crashing down on him.
He could not think about Y/n being pregnant by another man.
«Y/n, I need to talk to you» Steve said as he approached the girl's bed, his head down.
«Talk, I'm listening. But then go away, I don't want to see you again» she replied annoyed, gently stroking her belly.
«Sharon and I got divorced» Steve confessed all of a sudden. That news made Y/n jolt; she had not expected it. Her heart missed beats and little tears of joy threatened to spill from her eyes.
«Steve tell me you're kidding, please» said Y/n almost shocked.
«I'm not kidding. I did it for the two of us.» He said as he approached the girl, helping her out of bed.
«Y/n I love you, I always have.» he said putting his hands on her hips, now big because of her baby bump, and pulled her close to kiss her.
She returned the kiss and began to cry with joy.
«I love you too, Rogers. I always have.»
She could not believe that this was happening. Steve, her Steve Rogers, was finally hers in his own right, and he was also the father of the children she was carrying.
All of a sudden, however, Steve broke away the kiss, and before Y/n could open his mouth, he lowered his gaze to the baby bump, caressing it.
«Who’s the father of the baby?» he asked in a sad tone.
«They're twins, Rogers -- a boy and a girl..» she began, not answering his question.
After minutes of silence, he opened his mouth to speak.
«Congratulations...and I'm sorry I left you alone, that was not my intent-» he spoke only to be abruptly interrupted.
«They’re your children, Steve. You're the father.» she confessed, placing her hands on the boy's, still firm on her baby bump, who was now smiling.

Runaways /// Dabi x f!Reader (18+)
Summary: You were like an older sister to Dabi back when the two of you were teen runaways together; now that he’s found you as an adult, it’s not going to be so easy to get rid of him.
A/N: I could write a term paper on all of Dabi’s pathologies in this fic...I forgot how much I love writing smutty angst. Good shit 👌
I was planning on making this a ficlet so it’s kinda structured like that even though it ended up a full-length piece. Also, Dabi says some bullshit about sex work that I absolutely do not agree with or condone so please keep that in mind.
➠ see also: [homeowners association]
Tags/warnings: Dabi victimizes you, noncon/dubcon, light yandere, threats, cheating, NTR kinda?, mentions of past sex work, degradation, rough sex (breath play, impact play, crying), mild violence, very brief mentions of past child abuse in the Todoroki household, sad stuff/angst idk lol, *Daddy Issues by The Neighborhood plays in the background*
Dabi would know you anywhere.
You’re different now, which makes sense. It’s been years. Your old uniform of raggedy denim and hand-me-down leather has been replaced with a prim linen dress, designer label at the collar. You used to dye your hair religiously (it was neon pink when he saw you last) but now it’s styled back to your natural shade, a color he only saw back then when your roots grew out. You smell good, expensive. It does take him a second to recognize you without smudged pencil eyeliner drawn under your eyes like in the old days, but once he catches your gaze the realization is immediate.
It’s you. You. You.
You recognize him too, but your reaction is different—shock, then panic; you tug the arm of the man at your side, urging him to walk faster so you can pass Dabi on the sidewalk. The rejection stings for a second, but he isn’t too surprised. You did abandon him, after all.
Dabi doesn’t let it bother him. You’re not going to get away that easy. He pulls you into conversation, grinning when you reluctantly introduce him to your companion (who is, apparently, your husband) as an old friend from school. You didn’t go to school—Dabi knows that, and you know that, but your husband doesn’t. Which means your husband isn’t aware of your sordid past as a runaway.
This is going to be fun.
Once he knows you’re in town, he doesn’t have much trouble finding you. Your husband is a very wealthy man, well-known in this city now that he’s moved here. So this is what you’ve been up to all these years? Shacking up with some ugly motherfucker who’s at least 20 years your senior because he can afford to dress you up in pretty things and take you on overseas vacations? Dabi has to admit, he wouldn’t have thought it of you. Back when he knew you, you were so sincere, such an idealist, even in your darkest nights.
Then again…you always were willing to get your hands dirty in exchange for a warm meal and a place to sleep. Maybe you haven’t changed as much as you think.
Dabi comes to your house in the middle of the day when your husband’s at work and you’re stuck at home because that’s what you are now, a housewife. From a cocksucking whore to a pretty housewife with a dirty little secret. He’s getting hard just thinking about it as he watches your internal debate on whether to let him in or not. Eventually guilt wins out and you usher him inside, hoping the neighbors didn’t see a known villain lurking on your doorstep.
You make Dabi coffee (and aww, you remember exactly how he likes it). He gets you to talking, and you don’t seen surprised to learn about his current line of work; when he presses you, you admit that you’ve been following him in the news. Your life, in comparison, has been wholly uninteresting: you met a man, he proposed, and you married him. Very little has happened to you since. After a long silence you timidly apologize to Dabi for leaving him behind when you two were teenagers, and he tells you he understands.
He doesn’t forgive you.
Overall, things are good, he tells you. But you know, sometimes he misses the old days. Being on the run with you, stealing food from gas stations, breaking into fancy summer homes and pretending the two of you lived there. Stitching up each other’s cuts, because one of you had always gotten in a fight in the past few days. Sometimes he still has dreams about the smell of the balm you used on his fresh burns…and your cool hands, smoothing gently across the tender skin on his face, but he doesn’t say that.
You look down into your monogrammed coffee mug and tell him you know what he means.
When you turn your head like that, Dabi can see the tiny dots running up the side of your ear where your old piercings have scarred over from lack of use. Do you remember when he gave them to you? You did his first, running a needle through the lonely flame of your lighter (he offered to use his quirk, but it was still hard for him to control then so you declined) and then threading the metal through his ear. You promised it would only hurt for a second, and you were right, so he let you do the others.
Then you offered to let him do yours. Just one on each ear—you already had an impressive collection of piercings, but you wanted to let him return the favor, so he did. You were older and more experienced and had lived on the streets for longer, so when he held the needle in his hand and heard your voice saying you trusted him, it was the first time he ever thought of you as fragile, something delicate, something that he was capable of harming.
He chose twin helix piercings for you, cresting the shell of each ear, silver band rings to match his. When they were done you pulled him to a mirror and asked him what he thought. It hadn’t been long since he got the worst burns on his face (the ones under his eyes, wrapping around his chin and down his neck) and he was still getting used to the knowledge that the ugly, wrinkled scars were never going to heal. “I look like…” he started.
A monster. A freak. A victim.
“A badass,” you said. “You look fucking cool. Any asshole who wants to pick a fight with you will take one look and know you’ve been through worse shit than whatever they can dish out, and that’s something to be proud of.”
Now that Dabi thinks about it, he probably wanted you even then.
…But the longer he reminisces, the more nostalgia’s going to distract him. He came here for a reason, and it wasn’t to have coffee with you and talk about the good old days. What he’s about to take from you—what he’s about to make you give—is long overdue.
You’ve still got a little fight in you. Dabi likes that. But you’ve gone soft, filling out and losing muscle in places where you used to be lean and hard from the constant running and fighting of your old lifestyle. Besides, even if you were as strong as you’d been back then, he’d still be stronger than you—he’s a man now, and it’s incredible how small and weak you seem now that he can look at you as a man.
Were your punches always this light? No way…and your wrists couldn’t have always been this delicate. It’s really no trouble at all for him to wrestle you down to the couch and pin you there so he can tear off your stupid little housewife dress and tug your panties down past your ankles.
Once he’s got you fully naked, though, you pretty much give up trying to fight him off. It’s sad, really—like you’re remembering the past, remembering all the times you let other men hold you and fuck you just so you could have enough money to take yourself and Dabi to McDonalds for a few days. And now look, you’re plenty well-fed, but Dabi’s the one holding you down against your will. Funny how things change like that.
He does appreciate your submission, since it gives him the chance to get a decent look at you. The years have been kind—you look so much healthier than you used to. No more visible ribcage stretching out your skin; no more unhealthy pallor from going outside only at night. Your hands are as soft and manicured as if you’ve never done a day’s work in your life, a far cry from the bitten nails and bloody knuckles of your youth. It’s good to see you like this, and he lingers for a second, drinking in the sight of you and committing you to memory.
Dabi’s pictured this moment for years. He used to think he’d savor it, be sweet with you, slow and gentle to show you what you were missing with the trashy guys you used to hang out with. But now, hey—he’s the trashy one, he’s the one who wants to hurt you and own you and ruin you. May as well act like it.
Your husband doesn’t fuck you like this, does he?
You’re unbelievably tight for a former whore. Dabi can barely hold out when he first pushes into you, licking the tears off your cheeks when apparently it hurts too much for you to keep up a brave face. It takes real effort to fuck himself all the way into you, pushing past the tense squeeze of your muscles while you…well, you’re not exactly wet, but he’ll get you there. As soon as his hips are grinding up against yours, he’s hitching your legs up on his shoulders and pounding you into your stuffy antique couch so deeply that he thinks it might splinter into pieces underneath the two of you.
God, you’re so, so, tight. Dabi feels like a virgin with his cock buried inside you, biting his lip so he doesn’t cum in thirty seconds and thrusting into you with a rhythm that comes from nothing less than pure animal instinct. And you’re getting into it too. Can you tell that your pleading and begging him to get off you is turning into moaning? Can you feel your hips bucking weakly back against his, reverting to the position of the submissive bitch your body remembers even if your mind has tried to forget?
It’s perfect, right and good and perfect, everything Dabi’s been waiting for since he first knew what it was to want someone—no, not just someone. You. It’s always been you. A person never forgets their first love, right? It’s perfect, except—except you won’t look at him, you keep looking off to the side and sniffling, and that’s not going to cut it. So he slows down and wrenches your head back to center and makes you kiss him, sliding his tongue over yours and trying to see if he can feel the place where you used to have a piercing there, too. It’s kind of thrilling, actually—wondering whenever his face dips into yours if you’re going to bite him, if he’ll come back from you with blood in his mouth.
He’s only got to thumb over your clit a couple times before you’re clamping down on him, your body begging to be used and abused. Your husband hasn’t been treating you right, though Dabi doubts the old bastard can even get it up without a blue pill. Sure, you look like a sweet little doll, so darling and delicate and breakable, but Dabi knows you better than that. You’re strong, you can take it. He knows you want it rough, so that’s how he’ll give it to you—and hey, hey, he can feel your cunt quivering around him—you’re cumming, aren’t you? So you like it. You like it.
He knew he wasn’t going to last long before, but when you cum and tighten and squeal so high he thinks you could lose your voice, the tension in his abdomen rises up and he digs his fingers into your hips and—shit, you’re saying something, what are you saying? You’re pleading, begging him not to cum inside—but, ohhhhhh fuck he can’t help it, he can’t, he can’t, he’s cumming all the way deep into your tight little snatch, cockhead jutting up at your cervix, fucking his semen all the way through you until your slit is smeared white from top to bottom.
Stop crying. Dabi’s sick of hearing you cry.
You’re still pretty nimble, even though your current exercise regimen probably doesn’t extend beyond periodic jogs around your neighborhood and weekly pilates with all the other bored trophy wives. He’s kind of surprised when as soon as he lifts himself off of you, you have the strength to roll off the couch and scramble around on the floor for your clothing.
You don’t say anything, which he wasn’t expecting. You don’t scream at him, demand that he leave, or ask him how he could do this to you after everything the two of you went through together. You probably still think of yourself as an older sister when it comes to him.
When you’d first met the scarred kid trying and failing to live off the streets, you knew he wasn’t cut out for this. He’d known pain before, plenty of pain (icy-blue fire roasting the skin off his face—spiral fracture from callused hands twisting his arm behind his back—cold, aching muscles after what he thinks is the fifth hour spent locked in a closet), but he’d never known hunger. Hunger was a different kind of beast, one that would chew the kid up and spit him out and leave him broken if you didn’t take him under your wing, so you did.
It wasn’t like you had much of anything to spare, but you made it work. For a few years. He didn’t talk at first, but he took what you gave him, so you gave him what you could: food, if you had it; a place to sleep at night; the knowledge you’d gathered in your own years as a runaway on how he was supposed to survive in a world that didn’t care whether he lived or rotted away in a gutter. You cared.
Until you didn’t.
‘Going to be traveling alone for a while. Don’t wait for me. I’m sorry,’ your note had read. You left it in his backpack along with $43 in cash—not much, but he knew it was more than you could afford. It was all you had.
And now you have all of this! Don’t you feel lucky? You have the rich husband who barely looks at you, the big house with so many empty unused rooms it makes him sick, more food than you could possibly eat in one lifetime. All of that, and you also have Dabi’s semen leaking out of your cunt. It’s a real rags-to-riches story, he thinks.
Dabi picks a cigarette out of his jacket and you stop fixing up the buttons on your dress to ask him not to light it inside. How will you explain the smell to your husband? Every move you make, every syllable that comes out of your mouth, is weighed down by despair. You look like you’ve been beaten.
He lights the cigarette anyway.
///
Before he had you the first time, Dabi thought once would be enough. Pretty naive, huh?
He makes it his mission to fuck you in every room of your husband’s gluttonously enormous mansion (what with your history Dabi has a hard time thinking of the house as yours, and considering the way you tiptoe around and seem like you’re afraid to move so much as a vase, he suspects you feel the same). There’s a lot of rooms.
When he shows up at your door again you don’t even bother to hear him out, instead just trying to shut it on him, but he forces his way in. You wouldn’t want to make him mad, would you? Not when he’s got such a filthy secret hanging over your head? Will your husband keep paying for your designer shopping trips when he knows you’re a street rat who used to steal everything she wore? Will he still kiss you goodnight when Dabi tells him you used to wrap those pretty lips around strangers’ cocks for money?
If you want Dabi to keep quiet, you’re going to have to convince him the best way you know how. A cockwhore is a cockwhore. That’s not the kind of stain you get to wipe away with time and distance and expensive clothing.
In the kitchen: standing up, your back to his front and your hands barely holding you up on the counter, so hard and rough and deep that the dishes are rattling in the pantry. One of your teacups falls out of the glass china cabinet and shatters into a million fragments in a four foot radius over the tiled floor. Neither of you notice until after. Blunt red lines press themselves into the tops of your thighs where he’s shoving your body into the edge of the counter and there are bruises on your tits from how hard he’s groping you.
In the dining room: sitting on the edge of the table, one of your legs hiked up beside you and the other on a chair while Dabi kneels on the ground in front of you, his head between your thighs and his tongue flicking over your pussy. You start off thinking that you’re going to have to sanitize the entire mahogany surface before you can eat off it again and then he licks his lips and sucks on your throbbing clit and you don’t really think about anything else after that.
In your husband’s study: doggy-style on the floor in front of the fireplace, facedown, his body folded over yours, pressing you so deep into the tacky lion-skin rug that you can taste it. He sighs in your ear—actually, you’re not sure if it’s a sigh or a growl—and his hand comes up to cover yours. You feel the metal stitches and the rough burned skin scraping on your own and it reminds you that it’s him. It’s Dabi.
(A few days after his 13th birthday, the Dabi you used to know told you that he was going to dye his hair—he wanted to be unrecognizable, and you understood, so you found some old scissors and stole hair dye from the pharmacy and you spent three long hours chopping his hair into rough spikes and painting it black. When you washed the dye out of his hair in the sink, your hands were stained inky black too. When he saw, he looked worried and weaved his fingers in with yours and asked if the dye would hurt your skin if it stayed on too long.
And you looked back at this kid—small for his age then, burned by his own quirk, trying so hard to look older and tougher than any 13-year-old should have to be, and you thought to yourself, I would die for you.)
Now you hear Dabi growling out your name and squeezing your hand as he reaches his climax and you think, I would kill you if I could.
///
Dabi saves the master bedroom for last.
Your husband is hosting a party at your house. Dabi knows because you begged him not to come today, looking up at him with those doe-like eyes, offering things you never would have offered if it weren’t important to you that he stay away on this particular evening. But he still comes to crash it. He arrives just minutes before your husband does, and you have barely enough time to tuck him away on the dark bedroom balcony and pull the curtains closed before your husband is opening the door and greeting you.
Dabi settles himself into one of the tasteful Adirondack chairs on the balcony and listens to your voice, or at least what he can hear of it through the sliding glass door. You’re sweeter with your husband than you are with Dabi, and he should’ve known you’d be, but it still makes him hate your husband more than he already did.
On the other hand, there’s something strained and high and nervous in the way you’re speaking. Probably because your husband is standing about twenty feet away from the man you’re cheating on him with.
It takes a while for the two of you to dress for the party, but finally Dabi hears you tell your husband that you’d like to take a little longer to get ready and bid him goodbye. “Love you,” you say to the old man as he leaves the room, so casually Dabi might not have heard it if he wasn’t listening.
Then you’re opening the door and ushering him inside and telling him anxiously that he has to get out before anyone sees him. But, oh, you look nice like this, dolled up in your evening gown and makeup and diamonds, trying to pull him to the door even though you must know by now that he’s not going to leave it there. Instead of following, he backs you up onto the bed and peels down the straps of your dress and slides his hands up under the skirt, and all the while he can’t stop thinking about what you said to your husband.
You used to say that to Dabi.
The first time it was an accident—you’d mentioned it off-hand during a night when it was snowing and his unnaturally high body temperature was the only thing keeping the two of you alive. “God, I love you,” you’d said, draping your arm around his shoulders and pulling him in close to share his heat.
It had stunned him and you could probably tell. Maybe the next few times were just you taking pity on a kid who had never been told so casually and so simply that he was loved. But eventually you meant it, the little love you’s before you went to sleep or when one of you went off to do something alone for a few days—a familial love borne of mutual reliance. For the years Dabi was a runaway with you, you were the only person he could trust, and he knows the feeling was mutual.
Now he wants you to tell him you love him again.
It would be hot, wouldn’t it? You telling Dabi you love him while he forces you into a mating press on the bed you share with your husband. Isn’t that hot? You’re never going to be able to sleep on these sheets again without remembering his hands on your body, his tongue in your mouth, his cock filling you in ways you haven’t been filled since you were 19.
How are you gonna lay next to your husband in this sad cold bed? ‘Cause that old fuck isn’t touching you, Dabi knows that much—if he was, he’d’ve noticed by now that you’re always covered in bite marks and hickeys that he didn’t give you. How are you gonna sleep at night knowing what a nasty slut you are, telling another man you love him?
So say it. Say you love him.
Oh, you’re going to be like that, aren’t you? What did he tell you about being a fucking brat when he’s talking to you? See if you’re still so defiant when he’s got his hand stroking the length of that pretty throat and then sealing down on it, squeezing gently on the veins running up the sides of your neck, not too hard, but enough that you’re probably getting a little dizzy while he continues to fuck into you. Does it hurt? Your face is turning pink. Uh-uh-uh, don’t try to pull his hand off, or he’ll show you just how good he is with his quirk these days.
You’re trying to choke out the words but you can’t quite make them make sense. There’s something endearing about the way your whimpers vibrate through the skin of Dabi’s palm, how he can hear you as well as feeling you. Oh—could you say his name too? He knows you’re feeling all fucked-out and wet and sloppy, every moan rising and falling in time with his cock stretching your pussy open, but can’t you give it a little more effort? He’s sure you can get his name out if you really try.
And if you’re not going to cooperate, Dabi may as well just dig the heel of his knuckle into your windpipe, because you really do tighten up so deliciously when you cough and sputter like that. Fuck, if you keep doing that, he’s going to cum, gonna cum right here in your syrupy pussy and spill it all over your marriage bed—but no, he wants to hear you say it first, so when you’re gagging and turning red and your eyes are watering he finally stops choking you, loosening his grip just enough that his hand is resting on your neck in a lover’s touch. It takes you a second and your voice is so hoarse he can barely hear it, but then you’re speaking and something jumps in his chest—
“I…I love—love y-you, Touya!” you sob. “I love you! I—love you, Touya—Touya—Touya—!”
And ah fuck it’s almost exactly right, your voice saying you love him, saying his real name, a name he hasn’t heard for years because you’re the only one who really knows it anymore—but you’re crying, real heavy sobs while you gulp in frantic lungfuls of oxygen. Your ribcage is heaving underneath him and—god, fuck—your guts are clenching, sucking down on every inch of his cock, every vein—
—oh shit fuck fuck he’s cumming, and he presses his face into your neck, into your hair, kissing you and thinking I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you—
—please stay, forever.
///
When he’s done, he goes for another round just to make sure you’re going to have cum dripping down your thighs when you go back to the party. No panties, unless you want him to walk through the grand foyer with all the other guests on his way out.
You don’t look at him as you fix your dress and your hair and wipe at your smeared makeup. With your eyeliner rubbed down to the bottom of your eyes, Dabi’s reminded a little of how you used to look—and the reminder is doubled when you slide your legs across the side of the bed and limp over to your vanity, walking hesitantly, your hips rocking from side to side. Damn, did he fuck you that hard?
Reminds him of the old days, you shuffling back to the hideout with that same awkward pain in your gait, purple marks around your neck, and a dim smile decorating your face—for his sake. Oh, and cash in your pockets. You’d tell him that the two of you were going out to eat that night and refuse to let him look at the injuries. God, it made him angry, it still makes him angry just thinking about it—angry at the men who bought you for treating you like that, angry at you for letting them. Angry at himself for not being old enough or strong enough or rich enough to stop them.
Anger, yes…and other things too. There had been a sick, insidious part of him that wanted to be in their position. He’d hated himself for it back then, until you left and the desire to punish you for abandoning him got twisted up with the desire to own you and keep you his. Maybe if he let himself think about it, he’d still hate himself for what he’s doing to you.
By now, you’re too good at covering up the bruises. A sweep of foundation and powder passes over each hickey he left on your throat and it’s like he never touched you. You have to push him off the bed so you can strip the sheets and replace them. When you’re done, you tell him to wait a few minutes after you leave to sneak out the back and he makes another half-joke about joining the party and introducing himself to your old man—
—and you shove him up against the wall with all the strength left in you, wrap your hand around his neck, and dig your fingernails under the line of piercings in his cheek. If he even looks at your husband, if he even thinks about it, you’ll rip his goddamn face open, you tell him in a low snarl.
It’s an empty threat (you and he both know who would win in a physical altercation) but there’s real hatred behind it. Dabi hasn’t seen that kind of fire in your eyes since he found out you became a trophy wife. It makes him want to have you again so he does, pulling your arms away from his face, standing and holding you up against the door to your bedroom, forcing you to wrap your arms around his neck and cling to him to keep from falling.
He’s lubed up by his own cum, and the wet squelching of your pussy just reminds him what a mess you’re going to be when you return to high society tonight. Maybe your husband will be able to smell it on you—the cum, the sex, the other man who’s been keeping his darling wife warm while he’s at work.
Well, probably not. If that stupid fucking cuckold hasn’t figured it out by now, there’s not much of a chance he’ll get it on his own. As Dabi sinks into your tight, gummy cunt again, he decides that he might just have to help the process along. A man deserves to know if his wife is being unfaithful, right?
///
Your husband’s office phone number is written on a post-it note that’s tacked to the desk of his study. It takes Dabi 40 minutes and $30 to buy a burner cell phone, leave a message on the man’s voicemail, and toss the burner in the kitchen trash at your house while you’re in the shower.
The message is short and straightforward. Dabi introduces himself as ‘the man who’s sleeping with your wife’, describes the floor plan of your husband’s house and what position he fucked you in for each room, and finally finishes it off with the evidence—the precise size and location of every hickey he’s left on your body that will still be visible by the time your husband returns from work.
Dabi almost wishes your husband had picked up the call—he’d’ve had a good time explaining in pornographic detail the way your tits look under those too-formal dresses, the way you moan when you cum in his mouth, the way you told him you loved him while he choked you out—with your husband in the house, no less. But this is fine too.
Besides, it’ll be so fucking funny if someone else at your husband’s company hears the message before he does.
///
Whore. Your husband called you a whore.
You’ve been called a whore a lot, actually. More than most people. You should be used to it by now. But it’s different when your husband says it. Your husband, the man who rescued you from a life of poverty and starvation, the man who has given you everything you own, the man who slid a ring onto your finger under a wedding arch and promised to love you in good times and in bad. The man you’ve almost convinced yourself you love back.
He called you a whore and slapped you when you tried to explain yourself and shoved you out the door and locked it. You can still hear his voice telling you the only place he wants to see your face again is in a casket.
So that’s why when Dabi comes to collect you, you’re hugging your knees to your chest on your front porch in your shiny lace-edged slip nightdress, hair in a mess around your head and your lip bleeding onto your chin. Your feet are so cold—your husband didn’t even give you time to put shoes on before he threw you out.
The night is cool and dark but the porch light buzzes on for half a minute when Dabi climbs up the steps to come crouch next to you on the doorstep. You try not to look at him, but he tilts your face toward his, electric-blue eyes skimming over the red mark and blue-black discoloration blossoming across your cheekbone; the blood drying on your split lip.
Dabi asks calmly if your husband hit you, and you nod.
Good, he tells you, and his body lights up blue in a roiling cloud of flames. He’s been waiting for an excuse to kill that old fuck.
The fire is like lightning, bright and ghostly in the darkness. The crackling of the flame eats away at the heavy silence of the night and you crawl back from the dry heat of it, sure you can feel your eyebrows singeing from being near. Dabi looks different backed by the inferno—bigger, crueler. Frightening. He reaches at the door but you shout at him to stop.
Why? Don’t you think he should suffer, after what he did to you?
But your fists clench by your sides and you set your teeth and you tell Dabi that if he’s going to kill your husband, he may as well set himself on fire too, because it’s his fault in the first place. And he’s done a lot worse to you than one slap.
Dabi waits a moment, searching your alarmed expression for something, but whatever he’s hoping for you don’t give him and the flames go out. The air smells like smoke and his hands are hot—not burning, but uncomfortably hot—when he kneels in front of you and rubs a thumb over your bruised cheek.
“(Y/N)—” Dabi starts, and then he can’t find a way to finish. So he just gathers you up in his arms and carries you bridal-style down into the lawn and to the driveway, where he’s got a car waiting to take you guys back to his place. You don’t resist, which surprises him again. He thought you’d push away at him, scream, get angry—he thought he’d have to convince you. Or force you, like he usually does. But you just let him deposit you in the seat next to the driver’s.
Before he gets in, he asks you if you need anything from your house. He can go get it for you. See if any balding motherfucker in his forties can stop him. But you just shake your head.
“There’s nothing,” you say blankly. “I have nothing. I…have nothing.”
Just like back then.
“Not nothing,” Dabi tells you, turning forward to the road so you can’t see the look on his face. “You have me.”
///
In the end, he does understand. He understood it the second he held that goodbye note in his hands and knew you were lost to him.
You were 17 when you met him and 19 when you left—hardly older than a child yourself. You barely had enough to provide for your own needs, much less a teenage boy’s. By the time you left, Dabi was more than capable of surviving on his own and already falling into ugly crowds, gangs and syndicates who saw money in his quirk, people you’d sacrificed a lot to keep him away from. He no longer needed you, and it was time for you two to go your separate ways. Dabi understands that.
But now you need him. Just like you needed him when you were fucking strangers for food money; like you needed him when you ran away; like you needed him when you got trapped in this mundane, sparkling-clean life, a life that was never going to fit you. Only this time—this time, Dabi’s old enough for you. He’s not a kid anymore, he’s a man. He’s got an apartment and a good job (well, kind of) and he’s got money. He can provide for you the way you’ve always needed him to.
Dabi’s going to take care of you, and you’re never, ever going to leave.

37 kill for Daniela the red head, She kills one of the servents because of jealousy but the maiden is into it?? Maybe kinda nsfw
Sorry for the wait, my friend
I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me (NSFW)
TW: Violence
The sun was beating down on your back as you tended to the garden that you grew in the back courtyard. You had appealed to the Dimitrescus the benefits of planting your own vegetables and fruits and possibly the occasional pretty flower here or there. The Lady seemed uninterested in the thought altogether, making it clear that her mind was reserved for more stimulating subjects. Bela seemed halfhearted with her thoughtfulness, quickly zoning out. Cassandra had rolled her eyes and walked away after the word “garden”. Daniela was smiling though, her eyes glittery before she nodded along almost vehemently.
“I agree,” she said unabashed, ignoring her mother’s arched brow and Bela’s scoff. “Think of the ingredients we could grow ourselves instead of sending for delivery every other week.”
“Daniela, dear,” started Alcina, sighing almost exasperatedly, “Do you plan on going out and tending to this “garden”, hmm?”
You wanted to interject, it was the perfect moment to take responsibility for the care of the garden, and possibly even the grounds just to improve your worth around the castle. Yet, it required a lack in manners to interrupt a Lady when she’s speaking, and Alcina had a severe standard when it came to manners. And so you were forced to go with the smart move and bite your tongue as Daniela’s face dropped. That didn’t stop you from attempting to gain eye contact to give her a beseeching look.
“I’m sure we can find someone.” insisted Daniela, her eyes cutting to you before snapping back to her mother. “Someone very dependable,”
“I can do it,” you piped up, taking the opportunity, eyes dropping to the floor once Alcina’s gaze fell onto you.
“The question is will you,” drawled Alcina, eyes narrow as they looked you up and down. “As in, will I allow a human thing as yourself to control anything that is mine?”
You would have fell to your knees beneath the weight of the Lady’s attention had it not been for a certain redhead to stepped closer to you. You wanted to grab her hand, pull her close, wrap yourself around her for comfort, but you don’t. You never act on it, and she never dragged you to her bedroom cackling and giggling wildly as she did with other maids when she needed to get off. Though you were also the only one who didn’t emerge scarred and torn up.
“Of course, my Lady,” you conceded, bowing your head to show a sign of submission.
“Mother,” said Bela quietly, calmly interjecting, and waited until Alcina turned to address her. “I also think that a garden would be beneficial.”
Daniela had clapped happily when she realized her sister was aiding her in swaying their mother. Your eyes couldn’t settle between the three of the Dimitrescus. Alcina cocked her head to the side, adopting a fake look of thoughtfulness to cover how unimpressed she was.
“Oh, you do, darling?”
“Yes,” pressed Bela before her mother could continue on. “Imagine the access to ingredients for remedies to give the livestock. We could even grow foreign plants required for different potions!”
Fuck the fruits and vegetables, I guess.
And that was how the Lady was worn down and forced to give into her daughters desires. The garden didn’t necessarily consist of the produces that you originally planned for, but it got you out of the castle for extended points of time, and you weren’t complaining one bit. Castle Dimitrescu was a rather large estate, so there was plenty of room for the several varieties of roots, plants, and flowers that the Dimitrescus requested you take care of.
The heat of the sun had you pulling at the hem of your shirt to bring it up and wipe the sweat from your brow. The warm breeze hit you squarely on your exposed midsection, and you felt the dripping sweat drying grossly against your flesh. It felt as though eyes were upon you and when you let go of your shirt, ready to turn to check the windows of the castle, a person standing next to you nearly had you jumping out of your skin.
“Oh!” gasped the woman — a maid, “I’m sorry for scaring you.”
“It’s alright,” you assured, breathless and attempting to return your heart rate back to normal. “What’re you doing out here?”
Being outside was a luxury that none of the other maids could afford, so you were confused as to how this maid, Elle, had managed to avoid the lingering eyes that were everywhere. Her eyes averted as a slight blush came to her cheeks, and that’s when you saw the glass of water in her hand and your brain put two and two together. Oh.
“It’s hot today,” said Elle nonchalantly, even shrugging. “I figured you might need this.”
“Thank you,” you replied earnestly, grabbing the glass and taking greedy sips before you handed it back. “I appreciate it.”
“Well, I can’t have you fainting and bringing attention to yourself, now can I?” joked Elle, smiling bashfully.
You could’ve sworn that eyes were upon you, and you even went as far as to turn and check the windows, and while you thought you saw one of the curtains shifting, it also could’ve been a trick on your eyes. You furrowed your brow but turned back to Elle, who was looking at you expectantly, and for what, you weren’t sure. You smiled warmly.
“Thank you again, Elle, but I don’t want to hold you up any longer than I have.” You warned, making a face to emphasize, and she nodded in disappointment but reached forward to squeeze your hand.
“Stay safe,” she said, the maids’ usual words of departure.
“Stay safe,”
Eyes were watching you, but you couldn’t see from where, and that was the most dangerous predator: the one who hides before striking, and there was one predator who always had her watchful eye on you. Daniela. You gulped at the thought of Daniela catching another maid outside just to talk to you... no one, not even you were allowed to bend any of the rules, not even once... not when you were so easily replaced. Hopefully if you just went back to attending to the garden (rather stiffly), you could pretend that nothing would be amiss when you went back inside.
***
There was tension hanging in the air, thick enough to choke, and it had your spine as straight as a rod as you trudged through the pristine castle with your overall dirtiness, your shoes abandoned at the door. It was oddly quiet, and when the maids spotted you, they turned away quick, eyes wide with fright. Every step you took towards any of them, the maids took about six or seven steps away from you. Castle Dimitrescu might’ve been weird, but that was a new one...
You gave up on making conversation and instead wandered off to find a clean uniform to change out of the more comfortable wear you wore to tend to the ingredients. There was the nagging feeling that something was off in the air... Where were the Lady’s daughters? Their signature cackles failed to echo off the walls, and it left an uneasy silence in its wake. Now that you thought about it, you weren’t running into Elle either as you wandered deeper into the castle and found the maids’ quarters.
You quickly changed and made yourself presentable for your next task, and then you were again walking through the silent halls as you made your way to the kitchen. There was no real warmth to the kitchen, not when the stove had gone untouched for as long as you had been there. It wasn’t your place to question things around there, but you couldn’t help but to ask questions when you stepped inside and there was a silver platter with the cover still hiding what was underneath. What had you puzzled was the note that simply read your name propped right up against the cover.
You craned your neck when you felt eyes upon you yet again, but nobody was there... you knew better though and that’s what had needles prickling your skin and a cold sweat to break out. All that was missing was the giggling, but this really seemed like one of Daniela’s games she enjoyed playing. You turned back to the platter, and reached for the handle of the lid. After a shaky moment of building yourself up, you ripped the cover off like a bandaid, and froze, arm still raised.
Placed neatly upon the silver platter was Elle’s severed head. Her eyes were closed, and for that, you were grateful... you were too ashamed to look her in the eye seeing as this was all your fault. As your breathing hollowed out, that was when you finally heard a deep chuckle, one that had you going rigid... this wasn’t the Daniela that you had gotten used to, but it was one you were aware she could possess. Was she directing it towards you? You dropped the lid with a clatter.
“I didn’t like her very much.” said Daniela simply, and you gulped. “She liked you too much.”
You couldn’t miss the edge in her voice on the word. You finally blinked (your eyes suddenly burned) and looked away from the platter to connect eyes with the redhead. She wasn’t smiling and that was never a good sign. You forced a smile, one that you were scared was too obviously false.
“I didn’t like her either.” You choked out, fully turning your body away.
“You didn’t?” asked Daniela, her voice suddenly small and seeking reassurance, and you were struggling to keep up with her complete 180.
“Daniela...” You couldn’t say what you really wanted to... She was just bringing me water! “Why does it really matter to you so much?”
“Because you are mine!” She snapped, and you frowned.
“Doesn’t every maid here belong to you?” You countered, though you had to admit, you have more leeway than others did.
“They belong to the family, but you, you are mine, darling.” purred Daniela, stalking forward very slowly until she was before you. “No one else can even look at you the way I do.”
“But the other maids that you’ve...” You cringed, unwilling to finish, but Daniela picked up on what you were trying to say.
“I feed from them and that is all... Getting them a little scared makes the blood just a bit sweeter.” chuckled Daniela, and you frowned yet again.
“I thought you-”
“Slept with them?” Daniela drawled, now it was her turn to frown at you. “As tempting as it was, I think there’s one delicacy that I’m saving my pallet for.”
Her eyes roamed over your body with no holds barred, and you weren’t sure how you felt about the shiver that tingled down your spine. The fact that there was a severed head behind you was kinda throwing you for a loop. Daniela had her index finger and her middle finger tiptoeing up your arm until she was gingerly holding the side of your neck with obvious care. You gazed into her eyes and you were thoroughly entranced by the red headed beauty that would kill for you.
“Do you love me?” You whispered, almost afraid that what you were asking was a stupid question. Daniela’s face softened.
“I absolutely adore you, my love,” cooed Daniela, pulling you into a searing kiss that had your heart stuttering in your chest, and when the need for air had you pulling back, she already had her eyes open and watching you. “No one can take you away from me.”
Any sane person would hear the threat for what it really was, but there was nothing sane about the feelings she evoked from you just by being near you, even with Elle’s head served up right beside you. There was something about her possessiveness that could make you either feel very secured, or somewhat aroused, and you could hardly think of anything else but the fingers scratching at the hair at the base of your neck.
“I doubt anyone would be capable of taking me away from you.” You mused, and it was true. Bless the soul who tried to free you from the clutches of Daniela.
“Hm,” she hummed, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully as her eyes cut over every inch of your face. “Perhaps I should leave my mark for all to see?”
What surprised you the most was it seemed as though she was genuinely asking you. Her hand was still scratching the back of your neck, and her free hand reached up to rub soothing circles along your jugular with the pad of her thumb. Daniela’s compulsive attitude can lead her to doing whatever the hell she wanted without fear, but here she was, asking for your permission to drink from you. This redhead never failed to be full of surprises, and you found that you kinda liked that Daniela was so crazy for you.
“I belong to you,” You said quietly, unwilling to break the atmosphere that was enveloping the two of you, and you knew you said the right thing when her eyes shone with nothing but adoration and if you looked closer, love.
Daniela continued to cup the back of your neck with one hand, and used the other to hold you carefully by your shoulder, and she gently guided you to expose your throat just a bit more before she slowly bit into your throat. You gasped at the initial sting of your flesh giving way beneath the power of her teeth, but you allowed her to continue what she needed to do and permitted the subtle pull at your bloodstream. You felt the vibration of her own moan against your skin and it had you lightheaded.
“Daniela,” you groaned, feeling her teeth still inside of your skin with every syllable, and it also felt good when the hand on your shoulder rubbed down your arm and up your back.
“Does that feel good, darling?” pressed Daniela, unlatching just long enough to pull back and bat her eyelashes at you. “Do you love this as much as I do?”
Her tongue flattened against your bite mark, cleaning you of any trickling blood before she moved to the opposite side. She placed an open mouthed kiss there before she latched on once more, prompting your whole body to flinch within her grasp, but trust Daniela to hold on tight. It felt as though there would be a couple bruises by the time the next morning rolled around, but something told you that was a good thing to have within Castle Dimitrescu. It was like your own charm to ward off the evil that could lurk around the many hidden corridors.
You felt her pushing you back up against the table, and your foot brushed against the lid, causing it to scratch against the floor with an unflattering sound. The small of your back connected with the table, leaving you no more room to go backwards. Your hands flew to the edge as you used the table as support as Daniela basically leaned her full weight into you as she fed and marked you.
Your eyes flew open when she abruptly pulled away, her chin smeared with your blood and her eyes crazed with desire, but also soft with emotion and it was directed right at you. She never broke eye contact as she slowly dropped to her knees before you, and your breathing became irregular as she reached forward to push the end of your uniform up higher and higher until you had to shiver at how exposed you felt.
“Do you love me?” asked Daniela suddenly, bringing your wandering mind to a complete halt, and you looked down into her wide, almost innocent eyes as she stared earnestly up at you. “I never heard you say it to me.”
“I love you more than life itself,” You responded and you were surprised at just how honest it felt... You could die tomorrow and you’d have felt content enough to just allow it.
Daniela’s megawatt grin was so wide that you knew there was no way of it coming off anytime soon, not with the pure happiness radiating from it, and certainly not with the way it reached itself to her eyes. She giggled madly and soon it was the only indication of her because she disappeared beneath the skirt of your uniform and you jumped at the warm tongue that was persistent in searching your body. Your knuckles turned white as your grip on the table tightened and you lost yourself to the wetness of Daniela’s tongue on you, and you found that it was true...
No one could ever steal you away from the perfection that was Daniela. Not when she was the only one that could turn you on with a familiar severed head just inches away..

♡ starting prompt: “if I was your boyfriend, I’d pepper you with kisses and gifts and spoil you so bad.”
♡ pairing: tim drake (Robin YJ S2) x fem reader
♡ lyric inspiration: “if we go down then we go down together, we’ll get away with everything, we’ll show them we are better.”
♡ note: not checked for grammar or spelling mistakes
Tim Drake was a special one, everyone knew that. he wasn’t Dick, the happy go lucky Robin, he for sure wasn’t Jason Todd, the sarcastic and very rude Robin. he was the tactical Robin, the one who made sure everything went as planned, whether it was on a mission or when all of you decided to hangout.
you were not apart of his plan. at all.
when you first joined the team, you were very similar to Garfield and Bart. very playful, extremely flexible when it came to hanging out with everyone on the team which made you very likable amongst them. Tim didn’t really like it at first.
he thought all you liked to do was have fun and play games but when he finally saw you out on the field, he was more than impressed. it was like a flip of a switch. your playful personality immediately went out the window and it was like you became a whole other person.
the team at the moment was having a bit down time. more than usual that is. you were lying around the lair, kicking your legs up against Bart as Nightwing walked in with Robin following behind him.
“hey guys!” you murmured through a mouthful of chips, “afternoon ( hero name ), enjoying that bag of chips?” Nightwing asked. you nodded happily as Bart reached in and ate some, “what has all of you here? you guys aren’t usually around at this time of day,” Garfield exclaimed.
Robin sat next to you, making sure he didn’t sit too close to you. when he started developing his crush on you, he immediately sensed himself getting nervous around you so he made it his mission to remain a close yet far distance.
“we need to talk to the team and since some of you are here, we figured it was best to break the news to you now,” you gave Tim and the rest of the boys a nervous look, “is the team breaking up? because I can’t afford to be back on the street,” you practically blurted.
Nightwing laughed, shaking his head, “nothing like that! the city of Gotham actually wants to honor the team this weekend at a special dinner,” Nightwing said. you sighed in relief as he continued, “they want it to be a black tie event so all of you need to be dressed appropriately. Wonder Woman herself offered to buy your attire if you choose to attend,” he mentioned to you.
you perked up in excitement.
“awesome! I’ll give her a call right now, thanking her in advanced,” you said, getting up from the couch and heading to the nearest phones. Tim sighed, watching you walk away as Nightwing gave his brother a look of confusion.
“any of you planning on asking any of the girls as a date?” Nightwing asked off handedly. Garfield and Bart instantly perked up, eyes darting in the direction of where you went, “definitely ( hero name ),” the two boys said.
suddenly, the air went thick as Bart, Garfield, and Tim looked at each other. a competitive stare fell on their faces as Nightwing could tell something was up, “mind telling me what all of you are thinking?” Nightwing asked them as Garfield and Bart instantly looked at each other.
“I’m asking her out!” the two of them shouted.
Nightwing shook his head disappointedly. he knew that this would become an issue. there wasn’t many girls on the team that could be asked out on a date so that really only left you and Cassie on terms of availability.
“please, like she’d accept you as a date,” Bart told Garfield as Garfield immediately stood up in defensive, “you’re the one to talk!” he retorted just as loudly.
Nightwing could tell his brother was thinking to himself. something he did often and while he wasn’t exactly the best at figuring it out, this time, he knew it had to do with the conversation at hand. every now and again, Dick could see the way Tim looked at you. some of it was eyes of admiration but more often than not, he had that lovestruck look.
Dick could just tell that Tim was also apart of the competition in trying to ask you out. you had walked back inside to the living room but this time with Cassie at your side. you were laughing at something she said before Garfield and Bart attacked you suddenly.
“do you want to be my date to the dinner?” they both yelled in unison. Cassie immediately started laughing as you stood in place, not knowing whether to accept or not, “uh, Garfield? I thought you seen me as a sister?” you asked, seeing Gar’s dejected face.
last week while all of you were playing a game of cards, he had mentioned that he thought of you as a sister in passing. while he never thought that the comment would ever come back to haunt him, sure enough it did. Gar hung his head low as Bart gave you a hopeful look.
“you serious?” you asked the redhead. Bart nodded excitedly, “yeah! we can get matching ties and dresses!” he practically boasted as he grabbed your hand, shaking it in excitement.
you shook your head, “whatever Allen, the color we’re wearing is dark green so find a tie and I can find a color to match a dress with it,” you stated, making Bart nod in agreement.
once you were out of earshot with Cassie, Bart fist pumped the air in excitement as he danced in place, “told you I’d get the girl!” he exclaimed happily. Tim sighed, not saying much as he tried to not make it sense that he was both jealous and disappointed.
he had no idea that they were going to ask you out this quickly. Tim figured that maybe he could get you alone and ask you out when the time was right but now....Bart had beat him to the punch and by the looks of it, you seemed pretty interested in him too.
Tim wasn’t one to get insecure about himself rather quickly but seeing someone he had grown to like over the course of the last few months, he felt that small bit of insecurity rise up.
+
Saturday morning at the lair was busier than usual. since Gar hadn’t acquired a date for tonight, between him and a few others, they offered to take patrol for the night. you were feeling nervous bubbles in your stomach. you had never gone on a date before and while you had never saw Bart as anything but a brother, maybe the dinner could change it.
you ironed out the forest green dress and hung it in your designated room closet. while you were trying on a few heels Wonder Woman had bought you, you heard a knock on your door before seeing Megan walk in with a solemn look on her face.
“hey Megan!” you exclaimed happily. she gave you a tight lipped smile, “Bart’s on the phone. he needs to tell you something,” she murmured, handing the phone over to you.
you grabbed it, hearing the hacking cough coming from the other end of the phone. you instantly sighed knowing exactly why Bart had called you. he wasn’t going to be able to make it to the dinner. he had caught the bug that Jaime had a few days before and wasn’t able to get out of bed.
“I told you not to hang out with him Thursday night,” you threatened, clutching your heel in your hand, “but did you listen? no you did not. now I have dress that won’t be worn because the IDIOT who had offered to be my date was irresponsible,” you exclaimed.
Bart tried to makeup an apology but you practically waved it off, “have fun in bed you jerk!” you said before hanging up. Megan gave you a sad look, “you’re really not going tonight?” you sighed, shaking your shoulders, “you should! Wonder Girl, Robin, Blue Beetle, Nightwing, Superboy, and the rest of us are still going. you could always just tag along with one of us!” she offered.
you thanked her silently. you figured since Wonder Woman had already bought the dress for you, you couldn’t just let it go to waste. “sure, I’ll tag with Wonder Girl tonight,” you murmured, trying not to seem disappointed.
Megan gave you a quick hug before letting you go back to doing your makeup. Tim walked in with his suit in hand as Megan walked out of your room, “what’s going on?” he asked Nightwing. he looked to his brother, “Bart caught the bug Blue had a few days ago and can’t go to the dinner with ( your name ), he whispered.
Tim tried not to seem happy by what he had just found out but since Bart was sick and Gar was staying for patrol, he figured his stars must’ve aligned. the dinner was going to be happening in under an hour and all he was told to do was bring his suit so all of you could head out in one car.
“that must be upsetting for her,” Tim replied, seeing as Dick started to laugh, “some how I get the sense that you aren’t as upset as she is,” he said before walking away.
Tim didn’t say anything as he heard Dick tell him to get dressed within the next few minutes before all of you were late. as Tim went into the bathroom, he heard you call Cassie or Megan over to your room. he wondered what you needed but figured it wasn’t his place to head over if you didn’t call for him.
putting on the suit didn’t take as long as he thought. all he needed was help tying the tie and he went back out to the front of the lair. “she looks great, doesn’t she?” he heard Zatanna say to Megan, “I feel kinda bad for Bart. he really missed out,” she added on.
you walked out of your room as you struggled to walk with your heels on. Garfield, Tim, and even Nightwing were a bit taken back by how you looked. you had never been so dressed up before so they were in a bit of shock as you walked out with Cassie.
“wow,” Garfield whispered, “can I be your date tonight?” he said as you smacked him in the back of his head, “sorry Gar, you have patrol or else I would actually take you up on that,” you giggled before sitting down on the couch.
Tim almost instantly sat next to you as he gave you a smile, “you look....fantastic,” he mentioned. you looked at the ground, not trying to get caught with a flustered expression, “thanks Rob, it means a lot coming from you,” you said, not realizing what you were actually saying.
Dick smiled to himself as he watched the interaction. his heart warmed up at the sight of the two of you. he knew Tim took himself a bit too seriously sometimes so seeing you break that harsh exterior made him happy. Tim needed to loosen up and maybe you would be the one to do that for him. hell, Tim trusted you with his life and that was not something he said often.
after all of you arrived to the dinner and thanked everyone who coordinated the event, all of you sat down at separate tables to eat. you had asked for a two seat table since you figured that Bart was going to join you but now, you realized that you’d probably be eating alone on the balcony.
just as you handed your jacket to the hostess, you saw Robin walking your way, “mind if I sit with you?” he asked nervously. you perked up, “of course! you sure you don’t wanna sit with Nightwing or even Blue?” you asked. Tim shook his head no, “I’d prefer if I sat with you,” he tried to say without a blush covering his face.
he pulled your chair out, making sure you were already seated before pushing you back in. Tim sat across from you, giving you a smile before looking to the hostess who was making her way over to the two of you again.
-
the night had went relatively quickly. that semi-awkward tension between the two of you quickly disappeared as both of you got comfortable around each other.
Robin, underneath that shell of his was a pretty funny guy. he would tell a joke that would have you crying from laughter for at least a few minutes and while the hostess that was attending the two of you had mentioned that it was getting a bit more cold and the two of you should just head in, neither you or Robin made the move to actually go inside.
the two of you were sitting down on cushioned lawn chairs, talking about a failed mission the two of you had went on a few months ago that made Bart lose his eyebrows due to an explosion.
“I swear, it was the funniest thing ever,” you said through giggles, “you really should have been on our team.” Tim sighed contently as he watched you run your hand through your hair, “hey, can I ask you something?” he asked suddenly.
you nodded, a bit nervous on why he changed his mood all of a sudden, “do you have a thing with Bart?” he asked. you were taken back, not knowing that this would be the question, “uh, no? we’re just friends. I know we were supposed to be each others dates but I think he really only asked me because of his little competition with Garfield,” you murmured, “why do you ask?”
the two of you had been leaning up against the rail of the balcony as you had taken Tim’s jacket earlier in the night and wrapped it around yourself.
“I was wondering...if after this dinner.....you’d be interested in going out on another date with me?”
you stayed silent for a moment, not knowing what to respond with.
“with me? really? I never thought of Mr.Perfect asking me out on a date,” you replied, trying not to make it too awkward, “I don’t think you’re any different than I am. I’ve liked you for a while now and have been wondering if you felt the same.”
you let out a sigh, “of course. I’d love too. I’m just not sure what you see in me is all,” you responded with. Tim grabbed your hand and held it, “you’re amazing. whether it’s on the field and kicking someone’s ass or just lounging around the lair with Gar and Bart. if I was your boyfriend, I’d pepper you with kisses and gifts and spoil you so bad,” he confessed.
you stayed silent, not knowing how to reply. you had never taken Tim as the romantic type and was not expecting that kind of confession.
Tim leaned in and placed the smallest kiss on your lips as he put his forehead on yours after he pulled away. you smiled, putting your hand on his cheek and brushing your thumb against it, “that means I should probably tell you who I really am,” Tim murmured, taking off his domino mask.
“I’m Tim, Tim Drake.”
“ ( your name ).”

A lot of people asked for a part three and I truly had no plans to write one, but I came up with one for you if you if guys are even still interested, who knows. I don’t know how I feel about it. Kinda seems dramatic of me, but oh well. Its been in my drafts for forever so I’m finally posting it. Let me know!! If I tagged you, its because you were tagged in part 2 or asked to be tagged in part 3!

Part 1 Part 2 Masterlist
The relationship you and JJ had transpired into something no one saw coming. Your friends thought your friendship was unsalvageable after what happened when they trapped you in the middle of the marsh with one another. You had reached your breaking point and they didn’t think you’d ever come back to them. But you did. Not only did you come back to them, but you came back to JJ.
The two of you, once closed off around each other, were now inseparable. You spent almost every day together. You followed him around his work schedule and he snuck through your window any chance he got because he didn’t want to spend one night without you. Your family was surprisingly very accepting of JJ. Your mother was first worried, knowing how men on the Cut can grow into something/someone no parent would want for their daughter. And Andrew knew of Luke Maybank from word of mouth and was afraid JJ might be just like him. But the first night you invited him to dinner at your house, your parents welcomed him into your family. He was polite, mature, and personable throughout the whole meal. You remembered that night well. The morning of, he called you panicking because he didn’t know what to wear. You told him to wear whatever he wanted, but he was afraid the Kildare County T shirt and cargo shorts wouldn’t send the right message. So you took him shopping on the mainland. Together you took the ferry and made him play dress up in stores you knew he couldn’t afford. He felt bad that you were paying for his new wardrobe, but you promised it was something you wanted to do because you would do anything to make him feel better about this night. That night he came to your door with a bouquet of flowers for your mother and a bottle of Scotch he told Andrew his dad bought for him for that night. Your little sister absolutely adored him, barely giving him enough time to kiss you hello or goodbye.
You and JJ were more alike than either of you could even imagine. Your temper wasn’t as short as JJ’s, but you weren’t afraid of a fight when it presented itself to you. Your mother always said that’s what happens when you grow up on the Cut. You learn to fight for what you want and need. Most of the time JJ liked that about you. Seeing you standing up for yourself was a huge turn on to him and he felt prideful when onlookers would watch impressed because they didn’t expect a girl from Figure Eight to fight like that. He never let it get physical though even though he always thought it would be hot to see you in a cat fight with some rich bitch from your school. He cared too much about you to let you get hurt.
You and JJ have another similarity no one outside of the Pogues know about. Although you hate it more than anything, you and JJ live through the trauma of having an abusive father. As if dealing with your father alone wasn’t stressful enough, he created a few fights between you and your boyfriend. JJ was constantly on your case when you were hiding a new bruise or silently frustrated from a previous conversation with your father. You tried not to find it overbearing because JJ was just concerned. You promised you’d stop seeing your father. It was easier for you than for JJ because you had another family to fall back on. A loving mother, a generous step father, and a boisterous little sister. The perfect family. Which is why you felt so guilty that they didn’t seem like enough. ‘Cause it didn’t matter how much money Andrew had, or if he said he loved you like his own, or that he promised you he would never hurt your mother on the day he proposed. He wasn’t your real dad. Your real dad was out there, living in filth and drugs. Without a second income, he couldn’t pay his bills or own a car to drive himself to work every day. He blamed that on you and your mother and you fell for his pity party every single time.
JJ knew when you were lying. You’d wearing more clothes on the days you were hiding your skin and quieter on the days when you were thinking back to the hateful things your father yelled at you the day before. He hated that there was someone out there laying their hands on you and there was nothing he could do about it. JJ knew the kind of damage that could happen if he tried to physically intervene and it didn’t work. Every time he brought it up, it would only start a heated argument. You would bring up his own father and how JJ wouldn’t let you say anything to Luke, even on the days you two were face to face at Barry’s home with your own father. You hated that JJ thought he could come between you and your father, but you couldn’t do the same. It was hard to believe you two were using your own father’s against each other to prove a point.
Today was no different. It was sunny, cloudless day in the middle of the summer. Which meant the perfect boat day for you and your Pogues. John B was excited to fish, JJ and Pope were excited to swim, Kie to tan. And you? Well you weren’t excited all at. Because last night was a particularly bad night between you and your dad.
He had taken you out to Barry’s again, forcing you to come inside so he could show you off like his own personal wallet. He drained you of another four hundred dollars after Barry threatened to shoot your father in the head if he didn’t get his money. And you hesitated. Not because you wanted your father to die, but because you had never had a gun pointed at another person in your vicinity. Ever. But that’s not how your dad took it. When you dropped him off, he had you come inside so he could give you his unpaid utility bills. When you least expected it, your dad shoved you hard into the countertop, the corner of it jabbing into your side. Even when you fell to the floor, your father didn’t stop kicking you in your stomach. He called you ungrateful and disloyal. He told you he wished you had never been born - how you ruin everything. You cried into the tiled floors until your dad tired himself out, grabbed a beer, and went to bed.
Your torso was covered in blue and purple bruises when you woke up. Even the warm water from you shower this morning felt like a million little needles pricking your skin. You contemplated texting the Pogues, telling them you felt sick and that you couldn’t go today. But when you looked out the window and saw the perfect day, you didn’t want to miss out on the sun or a day out with your friends. Your father’s taken a lot from you, but you wouldn’t let him take this.
You wore a one piece bathing suit you had no intention of showing anyone today. JJ greeted you first when the Pogue pulled up to your dock. His arm wrapped around your waist, his hand lightly squeezing your side. You inevitably flinched but forced out a giggle to make it look like JJ had only tickled you. Not hurt you. No one thought anything of it. No one but JJ. He watched you with a narrowed gaze as you said your hellos to the others and popped a squat next to Kie and Sarah.
When John B docked the boat, everyone immediately undressed to get into the cool water.
“C’mon, babe. You’re my partner for Chicken,” JJ walked up to you, the two of you the only ones on the boat.
You looked up and admired his shirtless, toned body. His tan skin glowed against the North Carolina sun and you couldn’t understand how you got so lucky to call him yours.
Then you remembered your predicament and looked out towards your friends to avoid his stare. “I’m not feeling that great today, J.”
“What’s wrong?” JJ asked but he didn’t need to. He already knew what was wrong. He just wanted to see if you would lie about it again.
“Just nauseous,” you said, “I think I ate some bad eggs this morning or something.”
“Some bad eggs, huh?” JJ scoffed.
“JJ...” you sighed. You knew he didn’t buy your lame excuse. You wouldn’t either if it was the other way around.
“You went to see him again, didn’t you?” It wasn’t a question it was a statement.
“Can we not do this here? Please.” You practically begged. You knew this argument could get heated. It usually always did. Neither of you meant to get mad at one another. In the end, it was your dad who was in the wrong. But you guys didn’t like seeing the other one hurt. It was both frustrating and exhausting.
JJ rolled his eyes. “Whatever.” He dove into the water head first and swam out towards his friends.
You dropped your head on the boat’s steering wheel, your forehead thumping against it. You wished cutting ties with your dad was as it easy as it sounds. But now you know that Barry would kill your dad if you didn’t show up for him with the money he owed. And you couldn’t let that happen. It would feel like murdering your own father.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
A week later, you found yourself at another boneyard party with your friends. You tried your best to enjoy the night despite your boyfriend giving you the cold shoulder. He was still mad about the incident on the boat. The two of you fought about it when you got back to the Chateau. He knew you were holding something back from him. And you were. You never mentioned Barry or the drugs or the gun to him. As far as JJ knew, you paid your dad’s bills and took him out to lunch every once in a while. And you wanted to keep it this way - afraid of what he might think knowing you were spending time with not only a notorious drug dealer, but his own father.
“I’m gonna get another drink,” you tell Kie as the two of you watched JJ and John B play beer pong against two Tourons.
She nodded and kept her eyes trained on the winning Pogues.
Before you reached the keg, a hand wrapped around your wrist and pulled you away from the crowd, towards the water. When you looked up at who it was, you ripped your hand away and glared at the blonde Kook.
“Y/N -“
“What the hell do you want, Rafe?” You could tell he was high. His eyes wouldn’t stop flickering back between yours, his balance was off, and his pupils were dilated.
“I - I screwed up. I don’t have the money - I didn’t make enough money for Barry’s blow. He’s gonna kill me.”
“Hey, hey. Calm down,” you looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping.
“You need to help me. You need to sell this -“ he tried shoving small baggies into your hands but you pulled yourself away like he was offering your a lit flame.
“Are you out of your mind. Put that away!”
“I wasn’t - wasn’t keeping track of how many people were using my shit. And then there was this girl -“
“Rafe, I can’t do this.”
“JJ can help. Yeah? His dad -“
“JJ stays out of this,” you took another step towards him so you were face to face with the Kook and he could see how serious you were, even through his high state of mind. “You hear me? JJ’s nothing like his dad and I swear to god I’ll kill you first if you say anything to him.”
“What am I supposed to do?” Rafe raised his voice, frustrated that he couldn’t come up with any other ideas of how he was supposed to get his money back.
“Hey!” You froze when another voice broke you and Rafe apart. JJ walked up from behind you and pointed his finger at the Kook. “What the hell do you think you’re doing? Get away from her.”
You let JJ pull you behind him but kept your eyes on Rafe, trying to warn him from saying anything to your already fired up boyfriend.
Rafe sniffled and took a step back. “Nothing, dude. Relax. Okay?”
“Didn’t look like nothing.”
“Rafe was just leaving,” you said and kept your eyes on Rafe.
“Y/N, you don’t understand. Barry -“
“Rafe!”
JJ’s head snapped in your direction and his brows furrowed in confusion. He knew that name. His dad’s mentioned that name before. It’s usually followed by coke prices.
Rafe just glared at you. “If I die, it’s on you.”
You swallowed the lump in your throat and looked down at the sand as Rafe walked away. JJ slowly turned to look at you as his brain scrambled to put the pieces together.
“Y/N...”
“I don’t want to talk about it.” You said quickly.
“How do you know Barry?” JJ pushed. He didn’t care if you didn’t want to talk about it. He was tired of letting you push him away.
“He’s my dad’s dealer, J. We’ve been over this.” You tried walking away from him but he grabbed your wrist to make you look at him.
“You been to his house?” JJ asked. When you didn’t answer, he took a step back and looked at you incredulously. “You work for him now?”
You glared at him. “Of course not!”
“Then -“
“My dad makes me pay for his shit, okay? And I can’t stop or else Barry will kill him.” You snapped. Tears pricked at your waterline and threatened to fall.
“Barry won’t kill -“
“He pointed a gun at his head the other day! I was there! I had to scoff up hundreds of dollars to save his life.” You shook your head. “And that still wasn’t enough to save myself from a stupid beating. So please stop telling me how much easier it is for me to escape him. Stop telling me how lucky I am to have such a great family to rely on. Because I don’t! If I don’t help my dad out, I might as well sign his death warrant myself.”
JJ’s heart physically cracked in his chest at the sight of you. You were falling apart. Here at a boneyard party, where you should be having fun and forgetting about your problems. But instead he pushed you too far, and although he was relieved to finally hear the truth from you, he wished it had been in the privacy of your home or the Chateau. When he looked over your shoulder, he saw the worried looks of the Pogues looking at them. He didn’t know if he heard them, but he hoped they hadn’t. He still needed time to process this without the pestering questions from his friends. Even if they meant well.
“Okay,” JJ said softly. “Okay. I won’t say anything. I’m sorry. Can we just - “ he sighed. “Can we just go back to the Chateau? I just wanna hold you.”
You sniffled and meekly nodded your head. You were angry and frustrated. But not at him. At Rafe. At your own father. At the world. And you just wanted your boyfriend too.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
That night, you fell asleep pretty fast. From your sore body, to the sleepless nights thinking about Barry and his threats, and the warmth of JJ’s body held against you, your exhausted state quickly took over you. You felt like you could sleep for hours.
JJ, however, did not. He stared up at the blank ceiling with his forearm tucked under his head as his other arm stayed wrapped around you. He couldn’t stop picturing you at Barry’s home with a bunch of old low lifes, scared and innocent. He wondered if his dad was ever there - if he ever said anything to you.
He hated that there wasn’t anything he could do for you unless your dad was gone.
Gone.
And idea popped into his head like someone flicked a light switch on in his brain. He turned his head, back and forth, looking for your phone. When he found it charging on his night stand, he stretched his arm out for it, careful not to wake up your sleeping figure.
He secretly knew your passcode after subtly watching you type it in a couple weeks ago.
His fingers tapped against your screen until he found the app he was looking for. Glancing down at you one last time, he shared your location with his phone.
When you squirmed in his embrace, JJ quickly put the phone back where he found it and pretended to be asleep in case you peeked an eye open at him. He hoped you didn’t feel his heart racing against his rib cage or his uneven breaths. He knew if you found out what he was doing, you’d be pissed. But before he fell asleep, he promised he was going to do anything necessary to keep you safe.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
On the day JJ knew you were going to be busy all day babysitting your neighbor’s kids, he rode his bike to Kildare County’s police station. He stared at the entrance for a long couple of seconds, hating every second of being in near proximity to this place. Basically going against every natural instinct he had to stay away and not trust the police.
But he was doing this for you.
He walked in, ignoring the couple of looks from officers he’s encountered over the years. They were mostly surprised he wasn’t being forced through the doors with his hands cuffed behind his back.
“I need to see Sheriff Peterkin, please.” JJ says politely.
The older woman looked JJ up and down. “Do you have an appointment?”
“It’s the fucking police station. Since when do you have to make appointments? You assume people are just gonna know when an emergency is going to happen?”
“Look kid -“
“JJ.” JJ turned and relief washed over him when he saw Sheriff Peterkin in the hallway looking at him confused but also concerned.
“I need your help.” JJ admitted. He hated cops. Probably always will. But he trusted Sheriff Peterkin. She’s always tried to help John B through his DCS struggles. She actually cared about what he wanted and never took the easy way out just to make her work load lighter. She remembered why she took the oath every day.
Peterkin never really liked the Maybank kid in particular, but she was able to see something in him pretty much every cop couldn’t. She saw the loyalty and the determination his friends saw. She could tell he didn’t want to grow up to be like his father.
She led him into her office and shut the door behind them for privacy. She gestured towards the seat in front of her desk and asked him to explain what was going on.
JJ’s mouth moved a hundred miles per minute. He told her how your mother didn’t know you would sneak out to see your dad despite the custody agreement. He mentioned the bills he made you pay and the bruises he would leave you despite your efforts to help him. He teared up when he mentioned his own dad - and how his father and your father had the same dealer. How your dad would make you go inside Barry’s home and use you like a a community bank account. He even told her about the gun Barry threatened to use on your dad right in front of you.
“Why are you tell me all of this?” Peterkin says slowly. She studied the boy in front of her who was slowly falling apart and felt sympathetic for the young blonde. It didn’t take a genius to know why JJ was telling her this.
“Because...y/n... she has a heart of gold,” JJ sniffled. “She won’t leave her dad behind to be homeless or killed because that man is her blood. It doesn’t matter if he beats her black and blue. She always goes back because she thinks she owes him.” He sighs. “I want him gone. I don’t care what you do to him. Arrest him, kill him. I don’t really care. Although the second choice sounds more strategic -“
“JJ -“
“And I don’t want her getting in any sort of legal trouble because it’s not her fault. She doesn’t do drugs or deal them or anything like that. She just stands there and watches her dad blow his money on coke and who knows what else. And her mom? Her mom has no clue what’s going on but it’s not her fault. Y/n is really good at hiding her pain. She forces a smile every day and -“ JJ’s breath hitched in his throat when he thought about how you faked your happiness every single day and how a girl like you should never feel as worthless as you do. “Her mom’s a good mom. And I don’t want people blaming her or taking Y/n away from her because they think she can’t control her -“
“Hey, look at me,” Peterkin says softly. She wanted to reach over the desk and squeeze his hand to comfort him. “I understand.”
“You do?”
“Yes. I remember having to visit their home when Mrs. Y/L/N was still married to him. Y/N mother’s a good woman. I wouldn’t let anyone come between them.”
“What about her dad? I tried convincing her to never see him again but she won’t do it. She’s afraid Barry will kill him.”
“I can’t bust into Barry’s home without probable cause -“
JJ stood up. “That’s bullshit! You know -“
“Without probable cause or evidence that proves Barry is holding drugs or being violent, I can’t barge into that home.”
“That’s -“
“Here,” Peterkin writes her number down on a post it note and hands it to JJ. “Without probable cause, I can’t arrest Barry and the men who work or buy from him.” She stared at JJ, hoping the boy will understand her hidden message. She points at the post it in JJ’s hands. “Now. If you need anything from me. Call that number and I will find you.”
JJ looked down at the number and slowly nodded his head, understanding what he would have to do.
“And JJ -“ the blonde turned. “Be aware of where your father is when you call me. I dont want you ending up in the same situation as your friend John B if that’s not where you want to be.”
JJ nodded. “Thank you Sheriff Peterkin.”
Peterkin nodded and walked him out of the station.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Three days later, JJ met his friends at the Wreck for lunch. He slowed his pace when he noticed the seat next to Pope wasn’t occupied and neither was the one next to Kie.
“Where’s Y/N?” He asked them.
Kie looked at the others with furrowed brows. They all got the same text. The one where Y/N apologetically told them that something came up and wouldn’t be able to hang out today. They thought JJ would have known that.
“She said she couldn’t make it,” Kie says. “We thought you knew.”
“Did she say why?”
Pope shrugged. “Just that something came up.”
JJ ripped his phone out of his back pocket and scrolled through his messages with you. You didn’t text him - you didn’t even answer his good morning text. He knew what this meant. You didn’t like to lie, so you’re way of dodging questions you didn’t want to answer honestly is to make sure no one can ask you them. By avoiding them all together. JJ knew that. It made sense to him.
“JJ, what’s going on?” John B asked his friends, recognizing the look on his best friend’s face. He was furious but also anxious. His leg hasn’t stopped bouncing up and down since he asked where you were.
JJ clicked on the app that showed your location and saw you were deep into the south side of the Cut. He recognized the area of his father’s drug dealer.
“We gotta go,” JJ stood up and motioned for his friends to follow. “Now. JB, you bring the Twinkie?”
“Yeah, but...” John B stuttered as he grabbed his stuff off the table. “What’s going on?”
“We're saving my girl from that douche bag she calls a father,” JJ says. “For good.”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
John B pulled the Twinkie to the curb outside of Barry’s house, making sure to use the trees to hide his vehicle. The Pogues immediately recognized your car parked in Barry’s driveway. Confusion bubbled through their heads, but rage ignited in JJ’s.
“Why is she here?” Kie asked.
JJ didn’t answer. He picked up his phone and clicked on Peterkin’s name. “It’s JJ.” The Pogues paused as they listened to JJ to talk to the Sheriff. “I -” He stopped when the sound of a gun shot being fired silenced all of them into panic.
“JJ -” Peterkin called for him but JJ didn’t answer. He dropped the phone so fast and sprinted out of the van, towards the house. He didn’t care what kind of danger he was running into. He just knew he had to get you out of it.
JJ ignored the calls from his best friends behind him as he ripped open the screen door. He stopped, looking left, right, up, down - anywhere for you.
He heard the commotion coming from Barry’s living room along with shouting and glass smashing. The first person he saw was Barry holding a gun up to the ceiling, pointed at the hole he left above him only seconds ago. He was glaring in the direction of you and your father, barely taking notice of the new kid in his home. Luke Maybank was the first to notice his son and narrowed his eyes in his direction. JJ gulped nervously - he didn’t know if it was because he was afraid of the guy with the gun or his dad. But what he feared the most was you not being okay.
Your eyes grew wide with fear when you saw the new face. You looked between JJ and Barry nervously, not knowing how Barry would react to the new member in his house. He was already pissed as it is, threatening to shoot you in front of your dad because neither of you could fork over the money your dad owed Barry. He was getting tired of the same old bullshit, and Rafe didn’t help. He stood silently in the corner with his fingers racked through his hair.
“Who the fuck are you?” Barry pointed the gun at JJ when he finally noticed him.
“Hey, hey, hey, he’s good!” Luke came closer to Barry and said, “That’s my son.”
“What the fuck is he doing here?” Barry asked him.
Luke looked past Barry at JJ for an answer he couldn’t give him. JJ glanced from Barry, to his dad, to you and gulped again as he tried to come up with answer. That’s when you understood what was going on. He was following you.
You didn’t know if you should be mad or not. All you could focus on was the gun in Barry’s hand that’s still pointed in JJ’s direction.
“Look, kid,” Your dad said to Barry, gaining his attention all over again. “I’ll make it up to you.” He put his hand on your shoulder and shoved you slightly forward. “You want to have her for the night? She’s all yours.”
Your head snapped in your father’s direction with your mouth open agape. Did your dad seriously just try to pimp you out? You felt betrayed, vile, used, and worthless. This isn’t something you do when you love your kid.
JJ seethed and clenched his hands in fists, ready to rock the shit out of your dad. “You son of a bitch -”
Luke, however, caught him in time, holding him by the arm and pulling him away from your dad. JJ tried fighting him off to get to your dad or you - to get you out of this entire home. He saw the scared look on your face and it made him want to set the entire house on fire. He’d do anything to protect you - to keep you safe. And right now, he thought he was failing.
Then, red and blue lights flashed through the open windows, followed by loud sirens. Barry crossed the room to stand next to you and your father and looked out the window. When he saw the cops, he immediately swiveled around to point his gun at your boyfriend.
“You called the fucking cops?” Barry sneered.
“Stop!” You yelled to try and get Barry’s attention and away from JJ.
You dad tried to use Barry’s distraction to his advantage and snuck up behind him to try and reach for the gun. Barry spun around and tried pulling his wrist away from your dad’s grip. As they fought for the gun and an upper hand, you ran across the room for JJ who immediately wrapped his arms around your waist. He kissed the top of your head and motioned for the front door, mumbling about leaving.
You nodded and grasped his hand in yours. When he turned to lead you out of there, another shot rang out and you flinched closer to JJ as he ducked and pulled your head down with his arms and shields your body with his.
You heard a thump and the floor vibrated under your feet.
“Shit -”
“Fuck -”
“What did you do that for -”
“Jerry? Hey! Jerry!”
Everything kind of moved in slow motion after that. You turned around to see what had happened and that’s when you saw your dad laying on the floor with a puddle of blood growing around his body. Your feet moved faster than your brain did to get to your dad.
JJ tried reaching for you but you swiveled out of his grip and dropped to your knees in front of your dad’s body. His eyes were closed and his mouth open. You placed your hands on top of the wound in his stomach to get it to stop bleeding. You cried. You didn’t know why you were crying but you did. Hard and heavy, barely able to get your own breaths in. You didn’t pay attention to Rafe fleeing from the backyard, or Barry being stopped by the cops who stormed into the house with guns raised. You barely felt JJ place his hands on your shoulders to try and coax you up. All you saw and could feel was your dad’s dead body and his blood on your hands.
“Honey,” You felt another set of hands touch your back as they knelt down next to you. You didn’t look at her but recognized the familiar voice. “He’s gone. It’s over.”
“No -” You voice was barely above a whisper.
“I’m sorry. Let’s get you cleaned up. Okay?”
Sheriff Peterkin nodded at JJ to help you up and lead you out of the house. He was finally able to pull you up from your knees and placed a comforting hand on your lower back.
Your friends watched from the barricade the police set up around the house. When they saw you, all of them either started to panic or cry. They thought your were hurt until JJ nodded at them to tell them you were okay. But they could see in your face you were anything but okay.
Another cop lead you to the back of an ambulance. You don’t even look at Luke being handcuffed next to Barry or Rafe disappearing in the trees. All you can think about is your dad.
The EMT did a quick check up on you after realizing the blood on your hands was in fact not yours. Then they took a quick look at JJ and asked if there was someone they could call for you.
“My mom -” You whispered.
The EMT nodded. “Do you have a number?”
You told the EMT her number and waited patiently as she walked away to call her. When the two of you were alone, JJ turned to look at you and reached out for your hands and held them in his lap. He rubbed his thumb up and down over the back of your hand and waited for you to say something. He didn’t know if any words could make this right. He didn’t know how to comfort you after you just witnessed your dad died. It didn’t matter if you hated him or not. You literally watched him take his last breath. Your own flesh and blood. That shit’s traumatizing.
“I’m sorry,” JJ said when he realized you were not going to say anything. “I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. I just - I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“This is my fault.”
“No,” JJ shook his head. “No. It’s not your fault. It’s Barry’s. He was the one with the gun -”
“I should’ve walked away. From my dad. From all of this.” A single tear rolled down your cheek. “I enabled him. I allowed it to get this far.”
“You were doing what you thought was best for your dad.”
“I got him killed -”
“He did this to himself, Y/N. You were more than the perfect daughter. You literally couldn't be more perfect if you tried.” JJ wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you closer into his side and kissed the top of your head. “He didn’t deserve you. There’s nothing you could have done to prevent this.”
You cried into his shoulder, letting the sobs wrack through your body and your heart tear into millions of pieces. JJ held you tightly against him and whispered comforting words in your ears.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
JJ stood by you through your grieving process - through the good and the bad. He’s took your harsh words with a grain a salt when he noticed you were just trying to pick a fight, he held you when you cried into your pillow in the middle of the night, he was by your side for a hand to hold when you told your mother what happened and why you were at Barrys for the millionth time, and he was there to tell you he will always be there for you when you think he’s just going to up and leave like your dad did.
After your dad’s funeral, you stood in front of his tombstone with a solemn expression. Your dad was a piece of shit and didn’t deserve your love, money, and attention. You wished you could go back and time and never give it to him. At least that way you wouldn’t feel all these complicated emotions that made no sense. Love, hate, grief, relief. You didn’t know how to feel.
Coming up behind you was JJ. He weaved his fingers with yours and kissed your temple. You couldn’t believe there was ever a day where JJ Maybank was your enemy. You didn’t think you’d be able to get through this without him.
“JJ,” You said and looked up at him. “Thank you.”
JJ nodded. “I love you.” He would never admit this, but he was glad you dad was dead. Because now he knew you were safe.
“I love you more.”
JJ shook his head. “Impossible.”

PART ONE PART TWO
Ever since the incident at the drive-in theater, Y/N has been avoiding Peter. Whenever MJ, Peter, and Ned would walk out of school together, Y/N wouldn’t be leaning out of the window of the car smiling and waving at them. She would have the window rolled up and looked either straight out the ahead or down at her phone.
Peter told Ned about the whole situation but didn’t tell MJ. He knew she would kill him because Y/N is her cousin and their like sister towards each other.
“Peter I don’t know what your gonna do, but you gotta do it fast cause sooner or later MJs’ gonna find out and your not only gonna lose the girl you have a major crush on but also your best friend,” Ned pointed out to Peter. Peter didn’t want to admit it but he was right. He had to come out with the truth to Y/N one way or another. He had to tell her that he does like her and that he lied about the stark internship.
He had to tell her that he was Spider-Man.
“Yeah Ned, I guess you right.”
“I am right Pete. Now go get your Princess Leia,” Ned teased as the bell rang, signaling that it was time for them to leave. The two boys made their way out of the building, talking about their project they still had yet to finish. They didn’t see MJ around like how she usually is until they heard familiar voices coming from behind them.
“Here’s your schedule and your and the supply list. You can also sign up for clubs if you would like,” an administrator said.
“I’ll think about it. That you so much.” there it was. That voice. It was Y/N talking to the administrator. But I thought she was homeschooled? Peter thought to himself, trying to wrap his mind around what was going on. It’s not like it was a bad thing that Y/N was coming to Midtown, but MJ told him that she really wasn’t the type to go to school. She hated big crowds of people and was never really good at making friends.
“Ok well, I can’t wait to have you as a new student at Midtown!”
Peter and Ned looked at each other with wide eyes then turned fully around to see who was behind them, even though they already knew by the voices. “Peter…”
“Ned,” he said to the tan boy next to him. They were both in shock by what they just heard.
“Y/N’s going to Midtown?” they said in sync.
“Yes, she is,” MJ added as she and her cousin walked over to stunned boys. Ned sent them both a smile and Y/N sent him one back with a small ‘hi’. Peter couldn’t help but notice that something was different about her.
She’s not wearing her glasses.
The four of them walked out of the building together, telling Y/N about all the teachers and classes at the high school. She also explained that she was tired of being homeschooled and wanted to have something to do outside of her one personal bubble. This new information didn’t make much sense to Peter. She seemed so happy when she was at home from what he could see.
Ned said goodbye to the two girls before heading over to the bus, beckoning Peter over.
“Later MJ, b-bye Y/N.”
“See ya, Parker,” MJ responded before getting into the passenger side of the car, kicking her feet up on the dashboard.
“Hey! Feet off the dashboard dude,” Y/N yelled at her cousin. MJ mocked her expression before chuckling lightly- keeping her feet on the dashboard. “Goodbye, Peter,” she said coldly, turning back to Peter before getting into the driver’s side, pulling away from the curb before speeding off down the road.
“I miss you.”
The brown-eyed boy whispered to no one, but it was meant for Y/N. He truly did miss her. Even if they had met only one week ago, that same surge of energy raced through him. Peter knew this wasn’t an ordinary crush- he didn’t know what it was. But he knew he couldn’t afford to lose it. He felt like he was falling apart without her. He didn’t intend to be that rude to her that night at the drive-in, it just happening and he regretted it the second he did it once he saw that heartbroken-hearted look on her face. But instead of apologizing to her, he just sat there.
“Sup penis Parker!” a kid named flash yelled and he sped by him, causing Peter’s brown curly hair to fall into his face. Great.
“Hey kid, I ain’t got all day. Ya getting on or not?” the bus driver said to Peter. He slumped his shoulders and lugged himself into the bus, taking his seat next to his best friend. “It’s gonna be ok man,” Ned told Peter, trying to comfort him.
I hope so.
///
Peter was late-night patrolling as he usually did and spotted MJ’s place. Not being able to restrain himself he swung over to the building next to it. He noticed that that same room light was on that was on the first time he stopped by MJ’s on a night patrol as Spider-Man.
Looking through the window to the lit room, he saw Y/N. she was sitting on her bed, her legs crisscrossed as she wrote something down in a thick, brown, leather-backed journal.
He smiled at the sight before him. Y/N was wearing the glasses. She pushed them up on her face with her knuckle and continued them to write. Someone must have called her name because she got up from her position on the bed and left her room.
Curiosity took over Peter as he swung over the ledge of the fire escape that was right at Y/N’s window. He peered into it and used his mask to focus closely on the open journal sitting on the bed. It was a letter:
Dear dad,
I can’t do this anymore. I miss you so much. You were what made me smile every day, and you still do. But I thought I had found someone who could make me smile even more. He’s beautiful dad. He has amazingly curly brown hair and the brightest brown eyes I had ever seen. His smile made me smile just like how your smile made me smile. He was the one that convinced me to wear my glasses… your glasses. Not MJ. not mom. He did. I thought he liked me as much as I liked him, but I was wrong. And now I can’t stop thinking about what you told me: some people fall in love with the wrong people sometimes. I think he was the one dad, the wrong one. The one I wasn’t supposed to be with. But why does it hurt so much? I’ve been preparing for this to happen to me ever since you told about false love. But now that it actually happened, I cant take it. I cant let him go. But I-
The letter stopped. And anyone could tell that Y/N had been crying as she wrote it- there were tear strains covering the page.
Peter felt lightheaded. Tears flooded his chocolate eyes and he unfocused his mask from the page. He slumped down, his back not facing the window. He was hurt. It felt like everything in the world had stopped, as time had frozen. He couldn’t bear to know the fact that he hurt Y/N so much to the point she thinks it’s her fault.
He yanked the mask off of his face, his cheeks burning a shade of crimson just like his eyes. Peter ran a shaky hand through his hair, gripping it as he grounded out in frustration.
Letting go he slammed his fist against the brick behind him, yelling out in pain. But not physical pain. He felt like someone just ripped out his heart and stomped on it.
“Hello?” Peter jumped at the voice coming from inside of Y/N’s room. Nows your change Peter. Just go tell her the truth. That’s what one side of Peter said, the other side was the opposite. You cant tell her now, she’ll just hate you more. You have to wait for the right moment.
But when was the right moment?
“MJ, did you hear that or am I fucking crazy?” Y/N asked as she exited the room. Peter took this chance to get away without being seen. He made his way but to his shared apartment with Aunt May. Entering his room and sitting on his bed, tears ran down his face as he silently sobbed.
///
“Students, I need your attention,” everyone quieted down their own conversations to hear what was about to be said. “I would like to introduce you to our new student, Y/N,” Peter’s head snapped but to look to the front of the class. His eyes landed on Y/N. he couldn’t help but admire her outfit. She was wearing high-waisted but loose, flared jeans with a grey Slytherin sweatshirt and black converse- ones like MJs. her fingers were covered in rings and she has a small necklace. There was a bag draped over her shoulder and her hair was pulled up into a messy ponytail. She was holding her glasses in her hand, not daring to put them on.
Not in front of all these people. More importantly, in front of Peter.
Her head hung and she stared at her feet, twisting the ring on her thumb. The teacher told that she could take a seat at an empty chair, and just to her luck, Ned wasn’t at school that day. So she was forced to sit next to Peter. She didn’t want to argue so she took her seat and sat there quietly not daring to even glance at the boy next to her.
Half an hour went by and Peter noticed Y/N fidgeting next to him. Her hands were shaking, her ears were turning bright red and she shook the table from how much she was bouncing it. She was taking notes but the handwriting was illegible she was consistently squinting at the board, trying to read what was being written.
“Hey Y/N, are you ok?”
“Fine,” she let out shakily, avoiding eye contact with Peter. He grabbed her hand, causing her to look him in the eye. Y/N’s eyes were red, tears swelling in the corners.
“We’re going to the bathroom. Now.”
“No Peter I’m f-fine.”
Peter grabbed Y/N’s arm, pulling out of the chair and into his arms, picking up their belonging with his free arm. They snuck out the back door to the classroom he and Ned used to sneak out of.
Walking through the halls, Y/N’s breath became shallow. “Peter, peter I wanna go home. Please take me home. There are too many people in there. They were all looking at me a-and I didn’t want them to look at me. MJ. Peter where is MJ. I need-”
“Ssshhh, relax Y/N. I’m gonna take you home,” Peter said, rubbing her back. She nodded her head at him as they walked through the back doors of the school.
SORRY THAT THIS PART WAS SHORT BUT THE NEXT ONE WILL BE LONG AND I HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD SURPRISE COMING IN THE NEXT PARTS. I LOVE YOU GUYSSSSS

I am still very new to this website and I don’t know how link a post but this fic is based on a post by @sandersgrey
(If someone reading this knows how to link a post please either explain it to me or link it in the comments because that post is *amazing*)
“Hmmm,” said Tessa, depositing Mina into Kit’s waiting arms and examining her buzzing phone critically. She shot a quizzical look in his direction.
Jem looked up from his novel. “What is ‘hmmm’, my love?”
Kit mimed vomiting but stopped dead in his tracks when she replied, “it’s Astrid’s mother. You remember her from parent teacher night, don’t you, my darling?” Kit swears they were being extra insufferable just to mess with him but he didn’t have the time to be annoyed when Astrid’s. Mom. Was. Calling. Tessa.
To understand why Kit was panicking as much as he was, you must know that Astrid’s mom was incredibly chill. She never got mad. The worst punishment she’d ever given her daughter was taking away her iPod for a week so she couldn’t listen to Mitski.
Was she calling about last night when Astrid, Mari and Kit threw eggs at the Shadowhunter’s that were giving Mari’s pack a hard time for no reason? No, that couldn’t be it. She’d given them the eggs.
Could the call be about the day before yesterday when Kit and Astrid got distracted doing homework and ended up snapping the coffee table clean in half while battling gladiator style with pool noodles? No, that wasn’t it. She’d just handed Astrid a twenty and told them to go to Kevin’s parents' shop and get a new one. Was she pissed because they ended up spending the money on ice cream instead? No, they ended up finding a table for free in the rubbing bin outside a fancy hotel.
Kit clutched his sister to his chest and prepared for the worst.
“Seo-yoon! What can I do for- Oh, hello Astrid!” Tessa paused briefly, presumably to listen to Astrid speak, and Kit sighed in relief.
“Kit is occupied at the moment but I can relay the message.” Another pause. “Oh don’t be frightened of me. I’m a tots rad mom. Your secret is safe with me.” Kit felt his face flush red as he heard his best friend’s laughter echo across the living room. “Okay! I’ll let him know. He has to get Mina to sleep before he can leave though. Lord knows he’s the only one who can these days.” Tessa chuckled at something Astrid said before wishing her good luck in her endeavour and ending the call.
She turned her attention back to Kit. “Astrid needs your help breaking into your teacher’s home to retrieve her cell phone.”
Kit blinked at her, dumbfounded. “You aren’t mad I’m going to go break the law?”
Because of course he was doing it. Astrid’s dad had bought it for her and he was extremely cautious about money. That was one of three things Kit knew about her dad. He was cheap, he lived in America and he loved the movie Fight Club.
Tessa ruffled Kit’s hair affectionately. “Please. I’ve raised two other Herondales. At least I know about this particular adventure beforehand.”
Mina began snoring softly and Kit handed her back to her mother. He grabbed his bag and started his journey to the door when Tessa added, “she also told me to say hi to a ‘daddy Kit’. Are you ‘daddy Kit?’”
‘Daddy Kit’ closed his eyes and wished for the sweet release of death.
“Why is Kit a daddy,” Jem asked, genuinely confused. “Aren’t I the daddy?”
Kit swung the door open so fast not even a speed rune could have aided him. But not before I heard Tessa reply, “Lily Chen certainly thinks so.”
Mrs. MacNamara clapped her hands together. “Why don’t we all go around and say a few things about ourselves?”
Kit buried his face into his hands. He’d been relieved when no other teacher had fulfilled the Disney channel stereotype of making every student introduce themselves to the new kid. But Mrs. MacNamara didn’t even seem to realize what she was doing.
All Kit’s fellow classmates groan. Expect one. Her hand shot up immediately. She was short, like smaller than Clary short. She wore a baggy pink shirt with the words ‘Queen Glimmer of Etheria’ sewed on with purple sequins and tight black jeans. Her colourful, choppy hair was in a low ponytail and she flew a few strands out of her eyes as her hand wiggled in the hair.
Mrs. MacNamara pointed at her. She stood up and smiled at Kit. “Hi. My name is Astrid. My hobbies include making my little cousin’s girl Barbies kiss, as it should be, and watching television shows where everyone is a terrible person so you can love all of them!”
“And what shows might that be?” asked Kit, already in the process of pulling out his phone and opening the Notes app.
“Grey’s Anatomy, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy again because it’s seventeen seasons as of right now. And to be fair it practically became a different show when they killed off Mark Sloan.”
“That’s enough, Miss Yang,” said Mrs. MacNamara. Astrid sat down and winked at Kit. Then she took out her phone and airdropped him a complete list of all her favorite shows, along with her number.
After Blessica’s pre-birthday birthday party, they went to Cirenworth and stayed up till four A.M. binging them.
They met outside a queer dry bar called Aries Not Welcome, the unspoken gathering place of the Merry Hoes. It was run by a poly lesbian couple in their mid-thirties. Quinn, Sydney and Aliyah may not have served alcohol but at least they were open 24/7.
“Did you bring the shit?”
Kit gave her a look. “The shit? How conclusive.”
“Shut up. You know, the shadowhunter thing.”
“The shadowhunter thing?”
“The, the, the glow stick that you draw with.”
“The glow stick that I draw wi-“ Kit closed his eyes briefly. “Do you mean a stele?”
Astrid snapped her fingers. “That’s it!” Kit shook his head in exasperation, smiling fondly. “I borrowed a torch from Quinn, let’s move.”
“Should I be worried that you know where Mr. Smith lives?” questioned Kit as he followed Astrid’s lead through the park.
“Should I be worried that your mom was fine with us breaking and entering?” she shot back playfully. Kit pushed Astrid and she fell off the path, laughing all the way.
“You called me ‘daddy’ to my mom’s face.”
She just laughed harder, slinging her arm around Kit’s shoulder. “It was over the phone, Christopher. And as I should.”
“Pffffttt. Why did you get your phone taken anyway?” She put her hands into her jumper pocket and looked at the ground. “Astrid.” She remained silent. “Astrid?”
She mumbled something under her breath. “What?” asked Kit.
“I WAS READING NINEJ FANFICTION!” she shouted.
Kit gasped. “I thought you were a die hard Kanej shipper,” he whispered.
“I’m a multishipper, okay?!” she replied, equally quiet.
“Does Blessica know?”
She shook her head. “And she will never find out.”
Kit saw the opportunity and he seized it. “She’ll never find out as long as you never call me daddy in front of either of my parents.”
She removed her arm from his shoulder and guided them out of the park, in the direction of the many apartments that lined this side of town. “I hate you.”
“Well, so does Mari. You're not special, Ast.”
She rolled her eyes. “You know Mari doesn’t actually hate you, right?! They’re just still in the enemy phase of your enemies-to-lovers romance. She only dislikes you because they feel something for you but they don’t know what so she interrupts it as loathing. In reality, her inner soul knows you’re hot and shmexie.”
Kit didn’t know how to process this so he just nodded and follow Astrid in silence to Mr. Smith’s house. (Plus, he was kinda glad that, according to his best friend, he had a little more time for Mari to ‘discover their true feelings’. If Kit screwed this up, he was out of countries to run off to.)
“Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me.”
“What,” asked Kit, turning around to face Astrid and closing the drawer he was rifling through. “Did you find your phone?”
“Yeah. But I also found Blessica’s. She was Snapping Kevin. Platonic my ass. But he took the fucking trans flag out of her phone!”
Kit snatched Blessica’s phone out of her hand to examine it for herself. She was telling the truth. Where the glitter pride flag usually rested was just a clear purple case. Kit couldn’t believe his eyes.
“It’s one thing to misgender her every day.” Blessica had forced all four of the other Merry Hoes to sign a contract saying they wouldn’t do anything to harm him because of it. “But this is the last straw. You know what we have to do.” Oops.
“Yeah, but we don’t have any spray paint.”
Kit eyed Mr. Smith’s pink sofa, blue bar stool covers and white picture frames. “I think I have something better in mind.”
It would have been easier for both parties to just zip off the sofa cushions and tape them to the wall but by ripping them off in strips, they ensured he would have to buy new ones. And judging by the car he drove and the fiji water in his fridge, Mr. Smith could definitely afford it.
That reminded him, “I’ll finish up with this. Go put all his fiji water into my bag.” Astrid saluted him and ran off. “Wait.” She stopped and looked at him. “Steal all the remotes you can find.”
“How is he not awake?,” asked Astrid as they ripped the fabric of his seating from the stool.
He shrugged. “Don’t question it.” He shoved the bundle of cloth into her arms. “Glue this above the pink. I’ll handle the frames.”
“Say the magic word,” she sang.
“Please?”
“No. Lesbian. Come on, I thought you knew me better than that.”
Kit laughed quietly. “Can you lesbian glue this above the pink?”
She grinned at Kit. “It would be my pleasure.”

-- Stay with me --
stay is a sensitive word. we wear who stayed and who left in our skin forever.
- Nayyirah Waheed
-- September 2, 2013 --
Some cases stick with you long after you board the jet home. Some cases crawl inside your skin and hollow you out. Some cases become a part of you.
The team had been called to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to help catch a serial killer. I had only been a member of the BAU for 4 months, so it wasn’t uncommon for cases to still rattle me. Rossi said that I’d develop a thicker skin over time.
But this case seemed to even rattle him.
Over the past 15 years, on the same day every year, a woman’s body was found in a public place. She had been violently assaulted and tortured. The local M.E. always said the torture took place over the span of at least 10 months.
I felt my stomach roll when I read over the case file. I don’t think there was a form of pain he didn’t inflict on these women.
We had his prints; we had his DNA. None of that mattered, this man was a ghost.
September 1st had been fast approaching, and the local police knew they most likely couldn’t save the woman that had already spent the last several months with him. One deputy said that killing the woman would be a mercy, because “who could ever recover from that.”
We spent a week in Oklahoma; we started at the very beginning. I poured over the lives of 15 women, praying that maybe I could help us find 16 in time, praying I could save 17 before he ever touched her.

“Morgan,” Hotch said, his eyes scanning over the document in front of him. “I want you and y/n to interview Heather Pruitt’s brother.”
Derek’s eyebrows went up. “We’ve already talked to him, Hotch. He has an alibi. Do you think he knows something else?”
The unit chief nodded. “Heather was our first victim. She was important to the unsub.”
“Probably the most important,” Rossi chimed in.
Hotch nodded. “Understanding why Heather was so special to him is how we catch him.”
Morgan clicked his tongue against his teeth, nodding in agreement. “Okay…” he trailed off. “Are you sure y/n is up for this?” He turned to me; hands raised. “No offense, it’s just that…”
“I’m young,” I finished for him. Dr. Spencer Reid was the youngest person to ever join the BAU…and I was the second. I was 25 years old. The closest person in age to me was the resident genius, Dr. Reid, who was almost 32. I had earned my spot in the team, but I was no Spencer.
Morgan nodded, not looking abashed in the slightest. “Maybe Blake would be a better choice, Hotch.”
His dark eyes ran over me, considering Morgan’s words. “I’m sending her in because she’s so young. People don’t perceive her as a threat.”
“They never saw me as one,” Spencer said softly.
JJ laughed, swatting his arm. “You’re still not a threat, Spence.”

“Mr. Pruitt,” I said brightly, extending my hand. “Thank you so much for coming to speak with us.”
The older man nodded, meeting my gaze evenly. “Anything to help you catch this son of a bitch.” He turned to the woman beside him. “Rachel, darlin’, why don’t you wait right here? I don’t want you to have to…hear about what happened to my sister.”
The woman, Rachel, was small and pale. She had dark brown hair and blue eyes. “Of course,” she said softly, pressing a kiss against David Pruitt’s mouth.
"Do you need anything, ma'am?" I asked her.
“No,” she responded meekly. “I’m fine.”
I looked right into her eyes and smiled warmly at her before I turned away to follow Morgan and Mr. Pruitt into the interview room.
-- September 1, 2013 –
The entire team was standing around the precinct waiting for the call. JJ was gripping her cup of coffee tightly. Reid was staring at a map that was taped on the evidence board. Morgan was looking down at his phone while he talked to Blake. Hotch and Rossi were standing near the Sherriff of Broken Arrow.
We hadn’t stopped him. If he held to pattern, then victim 16 was already gone, and we’d be getting a call about her body soon.
I felt numb. I felt like I had missed something.
The shrill ringing of a phone made all of us tense up, every head in the precinct immediately turning to the receptionist at the front of the room. She spoke for a few moments before she hung up, giving the sheriff a grim nod. “She’s at the park off 6th street, Bruce.”
We all sprang into action, racing out the door to our vehicles. Morgan drove one SUV, Hotch drove the other. We knew we were too late for this girl, but maybe, just maybe, if we got there quick enough and the crime scene was fresh enough, we could find something.
The local police beat us there by a few minutes. Hotch hadn’t even parked before I was opening the door.
I couldn’t explain it then, but I had a feeling that settled in the pit of my stomach. It was a darkness I couldn’t pinpoint, the sort of thing that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
She was on a park bench, her eyes wide and unseeing. “No,” I whispered, my voice cracking.
“Jesus fucking Christ,” Morgan sighed out before he turned and marched back to his SUV.
I felt someone’s hands grip my shoulders. “Y/l/n,” Hotch said gently. “I know, but we have to go. He’s revealed himself now. He’s going to try to run.”
And I knew he was right, so I bottled my feelings up as I ran towards the SUVs. We had to find David Pruitt before he left town.
He was our unsub. He killed his sister 16 years ago…and we were certain of that because the 16th victim was his girlfriend.
The same girlfriend that was within our reach yesterday. She was being tortured by this animal…and we had let her go home with him.
-- September 2, 2013 –
The mood on the jet felt heavy. No one was speaking, no one had said much of anything since we found Mary Beth in the park yesterday morning.
Her name wasn’t even Rachel. David Pruitt had to take everything from his victims, including their names. He broke her so badly that not only did she not scream for help in the middle of a police station, she probably couldn’t even remember her own name.
I couldn’t read the entire autopsy report. Rossi and Morgan went to the morgue to speak with the M.E.
Rossi said he was surprised she was even able to stand the day we saw her.
And that was the hardest thing of all. We fucking saw her.
I wasn’t quite sure how the rest of the team managed to keep their emotions so compartmentalized. I saw how this was bothering each of them, but none of them seemed close to breaking.
Not like I was.
I just kept seeing her face over and over again. Her wide eyes, her polite smile. The pictures of her broken body. How different her eyes looked when she was on the park bench. It was all on a loop in my mind.
When we boarded the jet, I sat in the very back, away from the rest of the team. I stared out the window, unseeing. How could I have missed it?
“Y/l/n,” a voice said softly. “Are you okay?”
I hadn’t realized that tears were slipping down my cheeks until I heard Hotch’s voice. I looked up at him. He was my unit chief, the strongest of any of us. If there was anyone I couldn’t afford to break in front of, it was him.
“Yeah,” I said hurriedly, wiping at my eyes. “Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize, y/n.”
I just nodded. Please leave, please leave. If he walked away, maybe I could hold it together a little while longer.
But he didn’t leave. He knelt down beside me in the middle of the aisle. In the months since I joined the BAU, I had made sure to never get too close to SSA Hotchner. There was something about him that fascinated me…and I knew he was a good enough profiler to see it, because I wasn’t skilled enough to hide it.
This was the closest I'd ever physically been to him. I was close enough to notice that his eyes weren’t a flat shade of brown; they were a warm chocolate brown and he had freckles across the bridge of his nose.
“Y/n,” he said softly, reaching out to take one of my hands in his larger one. “It’s okay. This isn’t your fault. This is the job; we can’t save them all.”
“But I saw her,” I whispered, feeling the dam break inside of me. “I talked to her.”
Hotch must have realized I was already too far gone to hold myself together anymore. I just kept seeing her eyes, over and over and over.
He stood abruptly, pulling me up with him. He led me into the back area near the restroom. There was a small countertop here, but most importantly, there was a curtain that could be pulled closed, giving us all the privacy anyone could get on this plane.
I stared up at him in bewilderment while he closed the curtain. By the very nature of the area and given how big he was, our bodies were much closer together than I had ever allowed.
“I know you won’t break down in front of everyone else,” he said quietly. “You still feel like you have something to prove. You don’t, but I understand why you feel that way. You’re a part of this team, y/n.”
I dug my teeth into my bottom lip, holding on to the last threads of my composure.
“Now, I can leave you here and you can pull yourself together,” he continued. “Or I can stay with you.”
This was one of the reasons I hadn’t allowed myself to be near him. There was something in Hotch’s eyes when he looked at me that always made me feel so safe. He was always fierce with a scowl on his face; occasionally he’d surprise me with his dry humor.
I hadn’t known his eyes could look so soft and it pulled on something inside me.
“I was so close I could have touched her,” I whispered. “And he…he…” I broke off as the first sob ripped out of my throat. Mary Beth was 23 years old. She had a younger brother and two loving parents. Her best friend, Anna, wore Mary Beth’s favorite necklace around her neck. None of them had given up hope.
And I had let her go home with him to die.
I had to watch when her parents got the news that we were so close, but he broke her too badly, she never cried out for help.
I closed my eyes to stop the tears from slipping down my cheeks, desperately trying to pull myself together.
My heart hurt so badly I barely reacted when Hotch’s arms wrapped around me, pulling me against him. I just buried my face against his chest while he rubbed my back. I was taking the comfort he offered, even though I didn’t deserve it. I was vaguely aware of him whispering against my hair, but I couldn’t understand what he was saying.
I failed her.
It took a few minutes for my tears to slow. I was able to bottle my pain back up again and take a few breaths. My arms were trapped between our bodies and when I went to pull them free, Hotch started to release me, no doubt assuming I wanted to end our embrace.
I didn’t.
I took a step forward when he took one back, wrapping my arms around his middle, pressing my cheek against his shirt that I just realized was damp from my tears. “Is this okay?” I whispered.
He had frozen for a moment before his arms tightened around me again. “Of course, sweet girl.”
I was just so content to be in his arms that I didn’t even process the term of endearment. “I got your shirt wet.”
“It’ll dry.”
I hummed against him, still so reluctant to let him go. “You smell nice, Hotch.”
He chuckled quietly. “Thanks. And given our current situation, you can call me Aaron.”
I nodded; my thoughts still somber. “I let her down. I let her go. I could have touched her.”
His hands kept rubbing over my back. “You’ve never let anyone down,” he murmured. “Not even for a single moment.”
--
Aaron didn’t feel like my boss when his arms were wrapped around me. He was just a man who held me for as long as I had needed before finally releasing me, offering me a small smile when I moved int the bathroom to try and fix my face.
I don’t know what he said to each team member, but none of them paid any attention to me when I walked out. They weren’t ignoring me, they just seemed unaware of what happened, even though I knew they weren’t.
Whatever he had done, I was immensely grateful.
It was just after 10 pm when the jet touched down in Quantico.
“Go home,” Hotch said as we all grabbed our go bags. “The paperwork can wait til tomorrow.”
Rossi clapped our unit chief on the shoulder. “This one was a hard one. I know it’s painful, but we can’t save them all.”
But why couldn’t I just save her? I thought.
When we were walking off the tarmac, Morgan spoke. “Kid, lemme give you a lift home. It’s not far.”
Reid’s brows drew together in confusion. “Yes, it is. You live on the other side of town.”
"Just let me do something nice for you, smartass."
Their banter almost pulled a smile from me, but I couldn’t. Everything still felt so heavy.
“What about you, y/l/n?” JJ asked.
It wasn’t a secret that I took the train like Reid did. I’d only lived in D.C. for the four months I’d been a member of the team. Reid didn’t drive because of car crash statistics; I didn’t drive because I hadn’t gotten around to getting a car.
“The train is still running. Which is probably good,” I muttered to her. “It’ll give me time to think.”
She just nodded, giving my arm a squeeze as we all walked into the bullpen to gather the things we had left before the case.
I stayed in the bullpen longer than everyone else. It’s not that I didn’t love them, I truly did. But I just…I couldn’t be brave right now.
“I know it’s not my place, but I really don’t want you to take the train home.”
My lips pulled into a smile then, even though I couldn’t bring myself to face him. “It’s no big deal, Hotch. I’m a full-grown FBI agent. I’ll be fine taking the train home.”
“You might be,” he conceded. “But I won’t be.”
“What?” I questioned, unable to stop my body from turning towards him.
Hotch stepped closer to me, looking slightly unsure. “I…I’ll be worried.”
His words felt important, and I realized the thought of him worrying bothered me.
He heaved out a great sigh, his eyes looked so tired. “Jack’s already in bed, Jessica is staying with him tonight. Please, let me take you home.”
How could I tell him no?
--
The ride back to my apartment was quiet. Hotch seemed to know where I lived without me having to tell him. He had turned the radio on in his SUV, but the volume was so low it was just background noise.
I watched the raindrops roll down the passenger side window and all I could think about was Mary Beth. I wonder if she liked the rain.
“Don’t do that.”
My entire body froze before I turned to look at the man in the car with me. “I’m not doing anything.”
“Yes, you are,” he insisted. “Y/n, you did all you could. This isn’t on you. We were all in that precinct. I offered her my hand when she left the station.” His hands were now gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles were white.
“Aaron,” I whispered, reaching out to put my hand on his forearm.
“If you blame yourself, you’ll have to blame me too.”
Tears started to fill my eyes again. I didn’t know what to say. “I couldn’t blame you.”
I saw his throat work as he swallowed, his eyes fixed on the building in front of us. I hadn’t even realized we had pulled into my apartment complex.
“Then you know why I can’t let you blame yourself.” He killed the engine and took his seatbelt off.
“What are you doing?”
He looked at me in confusion, like it should be obvious. “I’m walking you to your door.”
Oh. “Why?”
Aaron paused, considering his next words. “Because I can’t leave you yet.”
He was out of the car and opening my door before my brain could even process his words. I slid out beside him, clutching my jacket around myself. It didn’t help, the chill I felt was coming from inside of my body.
Aaron pulled my go-bag from the back seat then shrugged me off when I tried to take it from him.
Despite all the emotions I was feeling, I couldn’t resist teasing him a bit. “Are you secretly a gentleman, Aaron Hotchner?”
He looked sheepish for a moment. My mean ass, always scowling FBI unit chief that intimidated almost everyone on a daily basis looked sheepish because I called him a gentleman.
“Just don’t tell anyone,” he warned, shutting the car door.
I felt a tiny smile tug up the corners of my lips. The first smile I’d felt since…
Just like that, the guilt hit me again. How could I be smiling?
We had just reached my apartment door when a tiny sob ripped out of my throat. “Aaron…I can’t stop seeing what he did to her. She was in pain. And she-she fought back. She didn’t want to…and I can’t.”
“Oh, sweetheart don’t do that.” He dropped my go bag and wrapped his arms around me, once again offering me the comfort I didn't deserve.
The only time I had felt right in the past few days was when I was in this man’s arms. My question slipped out of my mouth before I had a chance to think better of it. “Will you stay with me?” I whispered against his chest.
I felt his body stiffen. Fuck. I pulled away from him, quickly wiping at my face. “I’m sorry, Hotch. You’ve got Jack and you’re my boss. It’s inappropriate. I’m so sorry.”
My hands were shaking when I reached to pick up my go-bag from the floor.
“Y/n, it’s not that I don’t want to,” he explained, his hand grabbing mine right before I touched my bag. “It’s not Jack, he went to be hours ago. But I am your supervisor, and I can’t take advantage of you.”
His words hung in the air, feeling almost as heavy as the pain in my chest. “The only time I feel anything good is when I’m with you, Aaron.”
My eyes were fixed on his bigger hand that engulfed mine, but I felt his eyes on me.
“I don’t think I could leave you now even if I wanted to,” he mumbled.
My keys shook when I unlocked the door and once we were inside my tiny apartment, the gravity of everything finally seemed to hit me.
"I can leave, y/n," he reminded me as if he could tell what I was thinking.
I licked my lips, looking around the room before I could look at him. “I want you to stay,” I pleaded, trying to summon every ounce of courage I had ever felt. “I know it’s not…I’m sure it breaks a million regulations and protocols. But…can you stay with me tonight? I just…I don’t want to be alone.”
What I was asking him for was so much more complicated than just spending the night at my apartment. I think we both knew that if he stayed something was going to change.
“Are you sure it’s what you want?”
I nodded, my eyes never leaving his.
--
I was sitting up in my bed, picking at the threads of my comforter when Aaron got out of the shower. He’d insisted I shower first while he went to grab his go bag and call Jack’s aunt. I felt the energy around me shift the moment he stepped into the room.
“Are you okay?”
I bit my lip, unsure of how to answer him. "I don't know." I looked up, my eyes meeting his dark ones. "Can-can you stay with me? Just for a little while?"
For a moment I thought he might say no, but his shoulders dropped, and he jerked his head in a tight nod. “Of course.”
He came around to the right side of my bed, looking torn for a moment before I pulled the covers down, indicating I wanted him to get under. I laid my body down while he adjusted himself on to my bed.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you not in a suit,” I mused, motioning to his t-shirt with a faded FBI logo and his flannel pajama pants.
He scoffed, pulling the covers up to his abdomen. “It’s a rare occurrence.” He had settled on his back, one of his arms bent behind his head, the other one resting on his abdomen.
“Aaron,” I breathed out. “Can I…will you…I don’t want to-“
“Hey,” he said, bringing my attention back to him. “You can ask me anything, y/n.”
“Will you hold me?” I begged, my voice breaking in my effort to suppress my emotions.
My eyes were shut tight, so I didn’t see the look of agony that washed over Aaron’s face. I only felt his body shift closer to mine before his arms came around me again, bringing me flush against his side.
At that moment, even though I felt terrible about myself, I found some solace in the fact that a man like Aaron Hotchner wouldn’t be holding me like this if I were truly a monster.
His big hand ran up and down my back while my head lay on his chest; I was taking comfort from everything about him, his smell, the feel of him holding me, even the steady beating of his heart under my ear.
I made no move to pull away from him; it was selfish, but I couldn’t let him go.
“Thank you for staying,” I whispered into the darkness. Right before I fell asleep, I think I felt his lips brush against my forehead.
--
Several hours later my eyes snapped open when my body jerked suddenly. The instant my eyes were open the nightmare was gone, I could barely remember any of it, not that I needed to. What else could it have been about?
“Hey,” a voice rasped out. “Are you okay?”
I realized I was still in Aaron’s arms. My head was still on his chest, one of his arms was wrapped around my body.
He had stayed with me.
“Yeah, I think so. Just a nightmare.”
He hummed in understanding. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“I don’t think I can.”
Aaron’s arm tightened around me. “I’ll be here whenever you’re ready.”
My fingers traced nonsense patterns over his chest, my mind racing. I felt so incredibly young then. I was lost in a sea of guilt and despair, and my only anchor was Aaron Hotchner.
It was easier to ask him in the darkness of my bedroom. “Do you feel this too?” I whispered.
The stillness that overtook his body indicated he knew what I meant. “Y/n…I...”
I lifted my head off of his chest, looking down at his face. “If I’m wrong, it’s okay to tell me.”
I saw those dark brown eyes scan over my face; I saw the indecision behind them. “I’ve felt it for a long time,” he said at last. “But you’re hurting, and I’m your-“
I brought a finger up to press against his lips, effectively silencing him. "Then make me not hurt. Please?" The finger I had on his lips started tracing the shape of them, over his cupid's bow, down to his fuller bottom lip.
With an amount of courage that I didn’t know I had, I pushed myself up, swinging my leg over his body. I leaned over his face bringing my lips so close to his. “Please,” I whispered against his lips. Just be with me. Be here with me, Aaron.”
I felt his self-control crumble a moment before one of his hands gripped my hip while the other slid behind the back of my head. He pulled me down until my lips were against his.
If I had allowed myself to think about kissing Aaron Hotchner before, this wouldn’t have been what I expected. His lips were gentle as the brushed against mine, his tongue wasn’t demanding when it slid against the seam of my mouth, his thumb brushed over my cheek while his tongue slicked against mine.
I was the one that broke our sweet kiss to pull my shirt from my body. Baring myself to him this way was nothing compared to how much of my soul he’d already seen. Those dark brown eyes were filled with heat when they ran over my body, his large hands felt reverent when they brushed over my skin.
He rolled us until I was on my back underneath him. Aaron kissed down the column of my throat, down over my collarbones until he reached my breasts. His mouth felt almost scalding when it covered my nipple. I arched up against him, a strangled moan tore from my throat when his blunt fingers slid into my panties.
“You’re so soft,” he whispered against my skin while he trailed wet kisses down my stomach. “Can I?” he asked when he reached the band of my sleep shorts and panties.
If I had had any doubts that I wanted Aaron Hotchner, that question would have gotten rid of them. I was begging him to take me, to make me feel anything other than the pain in my chest…and he still needed to make sure I wanted this.
I hooked my thumbs into my waistband, pulling them down while those almost black eyes ran over every inch of newly exposed skin. “You’re wearing too many clothes,” I rasped out.
He reached behind his back to grab the neck of his t-shirt, pulling it off of his body. Before I could blink, he had settled between my thighs, his mouth right above where I ached for him. “I can’t believe I get to touch you like this.”
Any response I would have made was broken off by a loud groan when his tongue parted my folds. His tongue circled my clit before moving down to dip inside of me. The moan that vibrated against me when he tasted me was the sexist thing I had ever heard.
I couldn’t feel anything but him.
My fingers threaded through his hair while his mouth worked me over. It didn’t feel like this was the first time we had been together like this. He touched me like he had known me for years.
But I needed more.
“Aaron,” I whimpered, my fingers tugging on his short dark hair. His eyes snapped open, but his mouth didn’t lift from my pussy. “I need to feel you inside me. Please?”
He pressed a final kiss to my pussy before he pulled away, moving up my body. Before he settled against me, he pushed his pants and underwear down his thighs. I felt how hard he was, how much he wanted this, against my pussy while his upper body loomed over me. One of my hands pulled him down to me, crashing his mouth against mine; with the other I reached down to grab his cock, running it up and down my slit.
Aaron moaned into my mouth when I lined him up and he started to press inside of me. He gave a few swallow thrusts, allowing my body to adjust to his size before he slid all the way inside of me.
I had never had sex like this before. Sometimes in the past, it had felt like I was just loaning my body out to someone, taking whatever pleasure I got in return. This felt so different. Aaron moved against me like he needed me, his lips ran over my skin like being allowed to touch me was a gift.
He set a steady rhythm, his hips moving against mine in just the right way. He was kissing my neck, moaning my name against my skin when he brought his thumb down to my clit, massaging me while he moved against me.
“Aaron,” I breathed.
His mouth was against mine again. "I've got you, sweet girl, I've got you."
My nails dug into his back, my body arched against him, and my mouth opened in a silent scream when I flew apart underneath him. His head dropped down against my shoulder as he found his own release inside of me.
Aaron’s big body was settled on top of me, but he didn’t feel crushing, it felt safe.
When we had both started to come down from our orgasms, he rolled us against until I was on top of his body, my head on his chest. He pulled the covers over our bodies and pressed a kiss against the top of my head.
“What happens in the morning?” I whispered out.
His head turned to look at the clock on my bedside table. “It’s technically morning now.”
“You know what I mean.”
I felt him nod. “What do you want to happen?”
I lifted my head up, my eyes meeting his dark coffee-colored ones. "Will you stay with me?"
His hand raised to cradle my face again, pulling me down to press the softest, sweetest kiss against my lips. “For as long as you want.”

Losing my best friend - Sugar Daddy culture is not empowering
I finally feel strong enough to talk about this and hopefully get some love, support, and reassurance from other women who agree that this is fucked up. I’ve never been “terfy on main” before so here goes. (TW child abuse + SA but no graphic descriptions of SA)
My mother is a narcissist who financially and emotionally abused my father and myself, with some additional physical abuse of me, for as long as I can remember. My dad made plenty of money but my mom controlled it all and made sure it didn’t go towards anything for me beyond the bare minimum required not to look obviously guilty of child abuse and neglect. I met Kiara (not her real name) when I was a junior in highschool and she was a freshman. Her mom was a single Korean woman doing her best to support Kiara and her 2 sisters while also running a Korean restaurant. My first jobs were a summer camp counselor and fitting room attendant at Forever 21. I would spend the last scraps of my paycheck making sure Kiara was able to order a full meal when our friends went out to dinner, buying her little gifts, and generally trying to keep us both as happy and healthy as possible.
When Kiara graduated highschool her mom drove her into Koreatown New Jersey, got her a room in the apartment of an acquaintance, and basically left her to fend for herself. Kiara spoke barely any Korean. She began working at a Korean salon where she met Ariana (not her real name). She had a NY cosmetology license, not an NJ one, while Ariana was an illegal immigrant from Korea so they were both overworked, underpaid, forced to work overtime, paid under minimum wage, and deprived of their tips. They couldn’t report or complain about this since they were both working illegally.
Kiara had to pay rent for the one room she occupied despite her land lady yelling at her, walking into her room while she slept, banning her from having friends over, and reporting to her mom if she spoke to a guy on the phone or a guy dropped her off. I was working at a restaurant in my college town on top of my classes and doing my best to keep surprising her with little gifts, but neither of us had enough disposable income to afford to visit each other. This was really difficult for me as she was my favorite person in the world and I was used to spending every second with her when we both lived in upstate NY. Ariana got them both to start using SeekingArrangement for one time meet ups with Sugar Daddies where they were paid anywhere from $200-2000 for sex. “The first time I ever did it I walked out of the hotel and just screamed because I was so disgusted and I was thinking about his wrinkly skin touching mine and all I wanted to do was get in the shower and scrub it off but I had $1000 cash in my hand for a couple hours of work which was so crazy and kinda made it all worth it ya know?” - Ariana to me
I was immediately skeptical and a little grossed out but Kiara genuinely seemed happier. She was buying new clothes for herself, ordering food to the apartment when she was hungry, and taking trips into NYC to have fun with Ariana and her friends. By the beginning of the summer of 2019, Kiara had found the Sugar Daddy who she would establish a long term agreement with and who ultimately ended up completely supporting her. I’m not going to say his name here but if people want to know it just ask, I am willing to share. He moved her into a much nicer much bigger apartment with Ariana as her roommate. He paid for me to fly up and visit her, and all of our activities during this vacation. I’m so sorry I’m so sorry I’m so sorry. I wish I shoved the money back in her hand before it was too late, I wish I worked harder and longer hours and got us an apartment in Florida and paid both of our rent. I’m so fucking sorry I didn’t listen to my instincts and allowed her to brush off my concerns. It was the most freedom we had ever had, I ran around NYC by myself while she was at work, and my ex took the bus to NJ from upstate NY and joined us for a few days. I feel so selfish but I also didn’t know how bad things would get.
One night Kiara and I went to NYC for dinner with her SD and she took the bus back to the apartment because she had to work early the next morning. It made sense for me to stay in the city because I was supposed to visit my friend at NYU the next morning. In the Uber to his apartment alone with him he was drunk and high and I very clearly looked scared shitless. At this point she was 19 (but she had looked that way since age 17 and I doubt he would have minded if she was lying about her age), I was 21 and he was 44. He seemed offended by my discomfort and was basically like “jeez relax I’m not gonna touch you, I really care about Kiara I think she’s so amazing, just go to the guest room and sleep, make a left to walk to NYU when you wake up.” I peaced the fuck out of there early the next morning.
After that summer Kiara and Ariana quit their jobs at the Korean salon and sugaring became their sole incomes. Ariana was still doing one time meet ups, not nearly as financially stable as Kiara, and got herself into a lot of credit card debt that to my knowledge she’s still in. At this point Kiara was flying down and staying with me in Florida so often that people at my college thought she went there too. I also wasn’t working at this point because college had gotten harder and my ex was fucking up my mental health real bad. He had given me a coke problem and Kiara sending me “grocery money” was enabling me to continue. I wasn’t honest with her about where all the money was going. During Halloween week we didn’t know that she couldn’t just snort molly (MDMA) with the frequency I was doing coke, she ODed, my guy best friend took us to the ER, it was so fucking scary, she got IV fluids for 2 hours and made a full recovery, she stopped doing molly, I kept doing coke. I’m so sorry :(
In November her SD paid for us to take a trip to Cancun Mexico. He was with us for the first part of the trip and this is where things started to get really bad. He tried to be my friend and act the way a boyfriend of my best friend who was my age would, but it was creepy and wrong and I was so uncomfortable. He asked about my drug use in a way that was gross and shamey and basically him seeing me as the “coke whore” stereotype...while continuing to buy me more coke. He also brought and gave us ecstasy pills. He asked really invasive questions about my relationship with my ex, why I stayed, my sex life, etc. It felt like an uncle asking me these questions, I did NOT wanna talk about any of this with him. But from what I did say it was very clear to someone with 44 years of life experience that I had an abusive mother, an addictive personality, and was in an unhealthy relationship. He offered to set me up with an SD friend of his looking for a sugar baby. I of course declined because I always knew this was a boundary I wasn’t willing to cross. No matter how bad my addictions got I would NOT give up that piece of myself in return for money.
In this part of Mexico, drugs that were only given with a prescription in the US were available over the counter. Kiara and I got a little box of 1mg Xanax with my money. My ex had given us Xanax a couple times in NY and we had fun with it, but at this point in time we did NOT have a problem with it. We had bought one bar, broken it in half, and each took half one night of Halloween week and called it “xanpires”, but this wasn’t something we were scripted or buying regularly from plugs. We went to dinner with her SD, we got up to go to the bathroom, and she immediately slipped and hit the ground. I was like woah did you take one of the xans and forget? Because we were supposed to tell each other if we were taking one so we could look out for each other. I was never mad at her! I never wanted money from her! I was just a little concerned, and once I determined that she was safe we thought it was kinda funny that she had taken a xan without realizing and started joking around about it. Her SD of course didn’t understand how a 19 year old and 21 year old girl joke with each other because he was a creepy old man, decided that we were “arguing”, and got up from the restaurant, walked across the street, bought a 90 count bottle of 2mg xans and gave it to me. This was honestly the most irresponsible way someone has ever treated me in my life, and this is coming from someone with an abusive and neglectful parent. Google “benzo withdrawal” if you’re not familiar with it.
We went to a different hotel, and Kiara and I both took xans and blacked out. I passed out on the guest bed, while Kiara was awake but in a conscious blackout. I woke up on the couch on the balcony (which was fine, it was comfy and I saw the sunrise over the beach. The gross part was that meant her SD had picked me up, put his hands on my body while I was unconscious and carried me out there). I remembered that at one point I had woken up, wanted to go to the bathroom or get something from inside, caught a glimpse of what I thought was them having sex, and went back outside. I mentioned it to Kiara and she had no memory of it whatsoever, she thought all she had done was gone to sleep. She was rightfully pissed the fuck off that her SD had taken advantage and done things with her while she was blacked, screamed at him, he gave us a half ass apology, and bought us more stuff (buying our silence). He finally flew home and we got to enjoy the trip with just each other, but I was careless with the dosage of a drug called tramadol, and I ODed with my head in her lap...I’m sorry. When I woke up I was hallucinating, hearing voices, crying hysterically and terrified. Kiara called my ex who asked how many mg I took, told us I was 100mg short of the amount that would require medical attention, made me laugh, and told me to go to sleep. I recognize how scary and unfair to her this was and I really do take responsibility for my actions. The day I was supposed to leave I did ecstasy, hooked up with a guy from Canada, and tried to skip my flight. She was mad because like yeah what the fuck. She got me on the flight, the ecstasy comedown hit, and there’s pictures of me crying in the airport because I hated when we fought.
I was supposed to stop in Miami, then fly back to my college town but while in Miami I texted my granny that I was “sad and really didn’t feel good and could she and my uncle visit me at the airport and bring my uncles dog?”. Her parenting instincts went off that something was very wrong, made me skip the flight, picked me up from the airport and took me to her house where I immediately threw up and ran an extremely high fever that night. She said it was one of the scariest nights of her life and she kept checking on me to see if I needed to go to the hospital. She drove me back to my college town where my guy best friend took me to the ER and it came out that Kiaras SD, in addition to giving me drugs, had also allowed me to drink Mexican tap water throughout the entire trip. I was treated for that + given chlamydia meds just in case since I’d had unprotected sex in a foreign country. I was fine, promised to do better, Kiara forgave me, things started to go back to normal. Except I had begun taking Xanax daily to deal with the anxiety of the illness...and she had a trip to Bali planned.
During that trip things managed to get even worse. She was there with her SD and another Korean friend and her SD was pressuring her and guilting her into sex, isolating her from her friend, going through her phone, and becoming extremely aggressive. She would call me crying and having panic attacks and I would walk out of class to try to comfort her over FaceTime. She did not have panic attacks before this trip. She begged to go home early because something was very wrong but he said it was a waste of money and kept her in Bali until the planned end of the trip. I think it was almost a month. She sent me a recording she secretly took of him screaming at her and her saying “don’t touch me, don’t grab me like that, leave me alone”. When she got back to the US I was begging her to stop. I was so worried for her safety. I said the money wasn’t worth it, we’ll get jobs, please just stop. I’m pretty sure he read those messages. We also had a suspicion that he had installed spyware on her phone but were never able to prove it. At this point I also reached out to my dad for help and his response was basically “I don’t care, not my problem, focus on school”. I reached out to my granny who absolutely cared, but her response was “I’m sorry but I can’t afford to support her, I have to focus on taking care of you, if she won’t stop this you’ll have to stop being friends with her”.
I went home to New York for winter break, suffered through my first round of Xanax withdrawal and was truly trying to get better but my ex manipulated his was back in my life and got me addicted again....but now this bottle of 90 had run out. I went back to my college town, got scripted, and was copping street bars when my script inevitably ran out early. What comes next is blurry for obvious reasons. We moved to the town in Florida my granny lived in and got an apartment together. The female friends she made in our town (my current home) she got most of them into sugaring and using SeekingArrangement. Things deteriorated super fast at this point. I was struggling hard, failing my online classes, and eventually got completely financially cut off by my parents. My granny was paying my half of the rent and my puppy’s vet bills but I was too embarrassed to admit I couldn’t afford groceries. Kiara was pressuring me hard to go on SeekingArrangement but I still refused. I would sit on the floor of the bathroom in a towel after I showered and just cry because the steam made me nauseous and dizzy since I wasn’t eating.
I met my current boyfriend and something just started to click: I didn’t wanna live like this anymore. The mom of a friend from this town who also refuses to sugar landed me an interview at the gym I currently work at, I fought for the job, and I got it. Now I knew I didn’t wanna be completely fucked up all the time anymore but I was still doing enough Xanax to keep me out of withdrawal. The 2mg that had blacked me out at the beginning were now just barely enough to keep me functional. Kiara and I were fighting frequently and bad by this time. She and her partner in sugaring, Mena (not her real name but pretty close to it, fuck this bitch fr) were expecting me to keep how they made their money a secret....from friends and guys that I saw every single day. They both very obviously did not work and were flexing new cars, designer clothes, and cash all over their social media. Kiara thought she could cover her ass by saying she dealt drugs but it was also obvious that she wasn’t putting the time into that to come up with the amount of money she had. The only one dealing drugs was me, and not enough to do anything flashy, just enough that in addition to my work money I was usually getting enough to eat. But there were still some times when the previous weeks paycheck had run out and I was having my first meal of the day at 3pm after someone had bought adderall from me. We had our serious serious fight where she threw my stuff in the lawn and I lived with my current boyfriend full time for about a couple weeks since my bedroom at my granny’s was getting refloored when this happened.
By January 20th he was concerned by my Xanax problem and wanted me to seriously try to stop. At the time I started tapering because I wanted the girlfriend title but I’m forever grateful for him giving me a reason, even if it was a shallow one, because I just needed to START. We tried to reconcile once, despite boyfriend and guy best friend begging me not to, and of course the same problems reappeared, we had another serious fight and haven’t spoken since.
Now the fog is clearing and today I’m 96 days clean of xanax, 16 days clean of all benzos, and 19 days clean of gabapentin (what was keeping me from having a seizure while quitting benzos). But it’s hard because being out of the fog means feeling all of my emotions, even the really bad ones. This past week I’ve been waking up and crying sitting in front of my mirror trying to put my makeup on for work and it just drips right off and I have to start over. She was my best friend for 8 years. My favorite person. My partner in life. I loved her more than anyone.
My boyfriend and guy best friend are pretty uncomfortable when they hear someone express an opinion of me that’s “Kiara’s side of the story” and I don’t correct it. Both of them saw exactly how bad it got near the very end and don’t get why I don’t defend myself more or tell people about her letting my dog eat dab (THC) wax while she was supposed to be watching her and having to be rushed to the animal hospital TWO separate times. (She’s a Pomeranian and the highly concentrated THC was super dangerous to her tiny little body). Yelling at me and giving me the silent treatment because less than 48 hours after my SA she expected me to drive her to a hair appointment in Miami and I woke up late and didn’t get her there on time with traffic. Me begging her to be there for me when it felt like everything was falling apart and I self harmed for the first time and her leaving me to go on a vacation to Orlando with a girl we didn’t even really like. Me not wanting to sleep in the apartment alone after my SA and her not letting me sleep in her bed anymore, her and Mena just dumping me at the neighbor’s so they could continue to sugar, party, and see guys our age at night (this sounds super awful but neighbors roommate —> current boyfriend. He kept me safe until I felt better, was really sweet and careful, and I was the one to make the first move). There’s more but I really don’t like talking about it, after the abuse she went through and I assume is still going through, I expect her to be pretty damaged and not have it in her to treat people right all the time. Not exposing every bad thing she’s ever done to all our mutual friends and acquaintances is kind of my last gift to her.
I also admit that sugaring wasn’t responsible for everything that went wrong. Loving an addict is difficult and exhausting and I went through it myself with my ex. I was also out bi and she was “probably straight, maybe a little bi-curious” in her words. But when she was drunk or on Xanax she’d kiss me first...we had done more than kiss but only during 3somes with a guy. I don’t know, I think I loved her more than I was supposed to and some of the stuff she’d say made me think she saw me in a way she really didn’t. When we first moved to this town I had a thing with a girl and expected it to be no big deal but things here were different than up north. I got called the d slur for the first time by someone who wasn’t joking. It was like getting slapped I was so shocked and hurt, I truly didn’t think that happened anymore. I think she saw what happened to me and kinda closed off that part of herself because she didn’t wanna experience that herself. She stopped making out with me at bars and parties after that and it made me sad and maybe a little jealous. But I really do blame her SD for basically “breaking her”, for handing me that first bottle of free Xanax, for a lot of other little things that I can’t possibly include because this is already way too long. This is my first time even saying this much. Feel free to add your own experiences or thoughts on this or anything you’d like. [I’m prepared to get death threats or called a SWERF or whatever but I don’t care, now that I started talking about this I’m not going to stop.]

From "Just a Kid", not yet proofread.
Long Snippet. Kinda.
"You think there could still be people in the city?" Tuffnut asks his sister, breaking the comfortable silence between them.
Between the theater rooms of Cinemapolis, there are tv-screens on the walls. Some of which used to play trailers and previews of upcoming and current releases and others which are hooked onto built-in consoles. Some are even arcade games. It is something this chain of theaters is known for including; entertainment for customers while they wait.
After finding a way to turn the power on, the twins have retreated to this section of the building. Ruffnut is playing a shoot-em-up while her brother is lazily draped over an armchair, legs over the armrest. This theater liked its comfort.
"Uh, what brings this up?" Ruffnut asks, her eyes firmly glued to the screen.
"Because they evacuated this place, but they couldn't have really evacuated it, right? Too many people!" Tuffnut reasons.
"Uh yeah, sure," his sister is only half-listening and so half-agrees.
"So there still have to be people living here. Can't just be all dead," Tuffnut is swinging his legs back and forth as he stares up at the ceiling.
Ruffnut gives him a brief look.
"Could be, could not be," she replies. She pumps her fist in the air when she's gotten another headshot.
Tuffnut sits up.
"I mean, you saw it, too, right? After Dagur crashed the car?" Ruffnut takes her eyes off her game to look at Tuffnut again.
"There was someone in the window of that one apartment. You know, before they closed the curtains and pretended not to see us," he says.
"What're you getting to, bro?" She asks. All this talking is bound to lose her some points.
"Is it right to just leave them here? We're not staying forever, Hiccup made that really clear," he says. He would feel kind of bad about leaving potential other survivors in a city belonging to the dead.
"Well-"
"Does it matter?" A third voice joins the conversation and the twins look over to find Dagur approaching. Somehow, they've summoned him.
"The world has changed, it's survival of the fittest now! We have our group to think of, we can't afford to think of every sad little person we come across," he says as if scolding the two for their empathy.
"I mean, when Hiccup and Astrid come back with food-"
"You mean if they come back with our food. I don't know Ashley all that well- I mean, I don't even care that much about her- but Hiccup? Small, skinny, defenseless little Hiccup? He's going to get eaten sooner or later, it might as well happen today," Dagur shrugs so casually, the twins can't help but share a look.
"But we want him to come back, right?" Ruffnut asks. She lets the fact that Dagur called Astrid "Ashley" instead slide.
Dagur smiles before he approaches and lays a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah, of course, because I care about all of you," he says and then walks away.
Ruffnut holds her shoulder and rolls it. She shares another look with her brother once they're alone again.
"So that was weird, right? That wasn't just me?" She asks, feeling like a tiny whirlwind has just passed through unannounced.
"Uh, no, that was weird. Unless it's both of us," Tuffnut says, swinging his legs over the armrest.

A/N: Enjoy!
______
“Hey,” you said, rubbing TJ’s bare back in bed after he’d gotten Allie down for bed. He groaned happily as you gave him a massage, sinking further into the mattress. “You’re rocking this dad thing you know.”
“Back at ya mom,” he laughed. “You really think so? Cause I’m scared shitless half the time.”
“Same. But she’s happy and healthy and safe. We must be doing something right,” you said. He patted your leg and you slid off of him, TJ rolling to his side and wrapping his arm around your waist to pull you down. “What are you thinking, handsome?”
“I noticed you haven’t taken any birth control this week,” he said.
“We said we’d talk tonight about it. I wanted to be prepared,” you said. He brushed his hand over your cheek and your whole body felt warm at the touch. “This is way off base of our plan for kids. We can totally wait if you want to.”
“We could. But we said way back when we talked about this that when we had kids, we wanted to keep them not too many years apart. Allie will be more than two by the time we have one. I know our plans got changed completely when she came into the picture.”
“Well, the original plan was two of our own and then when they were in their teens, we’d look at adoption for number three. What do you think?” you asked.
“I think it doesn’t matter what our plan is today. It’ll probably change in some way. It already did,” he said.
“Do you want to make a baby?” you asked.
“Yeah,” he said softly, sliding his hand down to your stomach. “I can’t imagine how adorable of a child you would make. Let’s start trying. Allie deserves a brother or sister.”
“Are you sure? We could wait until your student loan is paid off,” you said.
“Did I not tell you?” he asked. You shook your head and he smirked. “Work pays off my loan for me as long as I stay there.”
“Where’s the money in the budget for your loan going then?” you asked.
“It’s still student loan but it’s for Allie or kids to use. We got plenty and you got your raise and-”
“Raise? I didn’t get a raise.”
“Jensen said just the other night…oh I wasn’t supposed to tell you that,” he said.
“I’m getting a raise?” you asked.
“Yeah. Like a big one. For how you’ve been stepping up lately,” he said. “Don’t let it out that I said something.”
“I won’t. So we can afford another kid, we have the time, the energy, Allie’s a good age...sounds like we got our ducks in a row,” you said.
“Wanna make a baby?” he smirked. “And then love it forever and ever?”
“Fuck yes I do,” you said. “Now get naked and let’s have some fun.”
“Don’t have to tell me twice.”
Six Weeks Later
“Want me to write down anything else for the grocery store?” asked TJ as you sipped on some coffee while Allie ate part of a waffle at the breakfast table. “I haven’t bought pads or tampons in a while. You’re probably running low.”
“Yeah, you can…” you said, staring at him. “I haven’t had my period TJ. I’m two weeks late.”
“I’ll get a pregnancy test,” he said, a cautious smile on his face.
“Yeah. I’ll call the doctor, see if I can get an appointment in soon,” you said.
“I’ll be back as quick as I can,” he said.
“Momma, waffle,” asked Allie from her high seat, opening her hand up, her plate wiped clean.
“Sure thing, honey,” you said, TJ flashing you a quick smile before he was gone.
“Hey babe,” you said half an hour later into the phone. “You still at the store?”
“Heading for checkout now. Want me to pick up-”
“I just got my period,” you said. “Just now.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah,” you said. “We can do the test to make sure, like triple make sure and I still have an appointment for the afternoon.”
“Okay,” he said, sounding a little off.
“We only tried that one night,” you said. “And we weren’t really even trying. We were having more fun with not using a condom for the first time than actively trying really.”
“True. We got a little carried away,” he said, his hand rubbing the back of his neck and his cheeks sporting a light blush if you had to guess. “Do you want to like, really try?”
You turned your head and saw Allie sticking some pads to herself where she sat on the bathroom floor and you smiled.
“For some crazy reason, yes, yes I do. Also, I need more pads. Allie’s playing with them,” you said.
“Alright. I’ll pick up something special for dinner,” he said. “Love you.”
“Love you too, babe.”
Three Months Later
“Another beer?” asked your dad as he stood up from your back patio.
“I can get it,” you said, TJ handing you his empty, Allie passed out on his chest from where the three of you sat around the fire. “I want a snack anyways.”
You ruffled his head and wandered inside, your dad following you in to use the bathroom. You took out a beer and set it on the counter before you opened the freezer and pulled out a pint of ice cream.
“Someone’s got a sweet tooth lately,” he said. He took out a beer for himself and cracked it open, smiling at you. “Been awhile since I’ve seen you have a drink. Not that you did a lot but the empty calories line doesn’t seem so convincing at the moment considering the tub of cookie dough in your hand.”
“You think I’m pregnant?” you laughed. He shrugged and you shook your head. “No way. Just been trying to eat healthier. TJ ate most of this anyways.”
“You’re really not?” he asked.
“No. When’s mom and everybody come home again? Tomorrow? TJ and I wanted to have everybody over for dinner,” you said.
“Sounds good,” he said. You stuck your head around him, looking at TJ outside. “What’s up?”
“Okay I kinda want your opinion on something. I got a present for TJ’s birthday but I’m not sure if he’ll like it,” you said.
“What is it?” he asked. You left and ducked into your office, smiling to yourself but wiping it off your face by the time you returned. You held out a box to him, your dad opening it up. He looked confused as he held up a pair of blue sneakers.
Very small blue sneakers.
It took him a second but soon he was staring at you, a funny look on his face you remembered seeing on your wedding day.
“Liar,” he grinned.
“I know,” you said, getting a big hug from him.
“You’re gonna have a little boy,” he said, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“That’s what the sonogram said. You’re the first person we’ve told. We wanted to wait a few months to make sure everything was okay before we said something.”
“How far along are you?” he asked as he peeled away, staring at your stomach.
“About three months. We found out the sex earlier this week,” you said. “You can touch, it’s okay.”
“I didn’t realize you guys were trying,” he said. He put a careful hand on your stomach, smiling to himself. “You made a baby.”
“We wanted Allie’s sibling to be close in age. We only like actually tried once. We were kind of surprised it happened so fast,” you said.
“Does it feel any different than Allie? It’s not like you’re a parent for the first time again but I imagine it’s got to be a little different,” he said, pulling his hand away.
“Obviously this time I’m actually going to be the one having him but I don’t know, it doesn’t feel that different.”
“Good,” he said, smiling still. “These two are gonna grow up and not even think about who was adopted and who wasn’t.”
“TJ thinks he’s gonna have his black hair.”
“He could. Boys are a spitting image of their fathers sometimes,” he said. “A little boy. He’s gonna grow up just fine with you and TJ.”
“Do you have any advice for boys?” you asked.
“Love him the same as you love Allie. Teach him boys can love and cry and feel their feelings and to help others and he’ll turn out to be just as good a man as TJ.”
“You’re not half bad either,” you said with a smirk.
“I could have been better, especially when I was younger.”
“Dad, you were shy. Mom’s told me stories. You’ve always been good. I know you feel stuff, you just like to process it inside and on your own sometimes, like me. Look at Zepp. What other boy do you know that talks to his dad about stuff the way you guys do?”
“Oh I could name a few,” he said.
“You’re doing good is all I’m saying cause you’re good. We just hope he’s kind and good too,” you said.
“Love ‘em and the rest of it pretty much works out on its own,” he said. “Oh. Changing diapers? Cover them at all times. Like every single time. You’re gonna get pissed on a lot more with a boy, especially in the face.”
“Oh god, dad,” you said, rolling your eyes.
“Just being honest,” he chuckled. “Not much difference though.”
“As long as he’s happy, I’m good,” you said. “Are you...surprised? Happy? None of the above?”
“You are a kickass mom. I can’t quite describe it but yeah, let’s just say I’m happy,” he said. “I’m so happy for you both and to have another munchkin around. I’m proud of you, kiddo.”
“Thanks,” you said. “Second one should be easier, right?”
“Should. It’s your first time pregnant though. I’m sure we’re gonna run into some fun things for sure.”
Five Months Later
“Hey dad,” you said, giving him a wave in the parking lot. He smiled and you walked over before you headed off into the park with him.
“How’s work going?” he asked. “All ready to go out next week?”
“You know most people don’t take the month off before their due date,” you said.
“Most people don’t work for mom and dad,” he chuckled. “You’re covered. I see you back at that brewery for anything more than a beer run and we’re gonna have problems.”
“I know, grumpy. I’m good. Well, I was until I was driving over here to walk and my stomach started killing me,” you said. He stopped and you walked ahead of him. “What? You forget your phone or something? We can-”
“Fucking shit,” he said. He grabbed you and you made a face as he walked you quickly back over to his car.
“Dad, what-”
“There’s blood dripping down your leg,” he said, not even bothering with his seat belt before he was backing out and speeding away. You glanced down, a small thin streak drying on your skin. You reached under your shorts and felt more wetness, a pit forming in your stomach. “Y/N, are you listening to me?”
“What?” you said as he ran through a red light.
“I said you need to call TJ right now and tell him to meet us at County West. You’re having the baby right now.”
“S’not supposed to be bleeding,” you said quietly.
“I know. On the bright side, it could just be a little tear and that’s what it is and you and the baby are perfectly fine.”
“When has my life ever been on the fucking bright side,” you said. “Something’s wrong isn’t it.”
Your dad hit a few buttons on the wheel before the sound of ringing filled the air.
“Sup, Jensen?” said TJ.
“County West. The baby is coming. Move your ass now,” said your dad before he hung up.
“Oh, I’m completely not worried now,” you said. You shut your eyes and by the time you opened them, you were parked and the drivers door was open. Your dad ran over to the entrance and said something, somebody coming out with a stretcher. You rolled your eyes but let a few nurses and a doctor you were guessing move you on top of it.
“How far along?” asked the doctor.
“I’m-” you said, throwing your head back when pain shot across your abdomen. You screamed, a bit surprised at yourself honestly and suddenly were inside, your dad talking a mile a minute to the people that were rushing you down the hall.
“Y/N, I’m Dr. Astle. Are you having contractions?” she asked.
“I don’t…” you said, shouting again when pain hit you. “Gah, it’s not supposed to hurt that bad, right?”
“No, it’s not,” she said. You kicked when you felt it happening again, your dad grabbing your hand and using his other to run over your head.
“It’s okay,” he said softly. “The doctor’s are gonna fix you and the baby up like that.”
“We need to do an emergency C-section,” said Dr. Astle as you realized your shorts had been cut off.
“Dad don’t look that way,” you said.
“You and me right here,” he said with a smile. “You’ll be fine. You’ll be just fine. Just breathe.”
“TJ needs to be here,” you said.
“Tall munchkin I don’t think they can wait,” he said.
“They’re gonna wait over my-” you said, a flop of sweaty black hair running past the room. “TJ!”
“Hey!” he said as he jogged back to the doorway. “Are-holy shit. That’s a lot of blood.”
“TJ, up here,” said your dad.
“We need somebody from maternity, Dr. Astle,” said a nurse.
“Baby and mom do not have the time. You’re the husband?” asked the doctor, TJ nodding. “If mom passes out, you’re calling the shots.”
“Please don’t pass out,” said TJ.
“I’ll try…” you said, something tearing inside and you were out before you could even register the pain.
You woke up in a quiet room, your dad sitting in a chair and bouncing his leg like crazy. You tried to stretch and felt your abdomen was flatter, hand instantly shooting to it. You looked around but saw no sign of TJ or a baby and swallowed.
“Dad,” you said quietly. His head shot up and he was out of his chair like that.
“Hey. How you feeling?” he asked.
“Is the baby…” you swallowed.
“He is a perfectly healthy boy. Big boy. Your due date was off by a couple weeks they think. You were over nine months. He got a little too big for ya. The placenta started to tear and he was kicking at it they think which is why you were in so much pain,” he said.
“Okay,” you said with a big smile. “As long as he’s good, I’m good.”
“He’s up in the nursery with TJ, just letting him get some rest while you got some. You had some pain but you’re okay. Perfectly capable of more kids. Maybe we use a different doctor next time is all,” he said.
“Can I go see him?” you asked, surprised to not feel a bandage across your stomach. “I thought they did a C-section?”
“Well, you passed out pushing him out in one go. Doc said you’d be sore for awhile,” he said. “Let me go see if I can find your boys.”
“Dad,” you said as he turned to go. “Did I do that?”
You nodded to his bruised hand and he shrugged.
“Let’s just say in labor you is kind of terrifying,” he said.
“Dad,” you said and he sat on the edge of the bed. “Thank you. I was freaking out before.”
“Little secret, I was freaking out more,” he said with a chuckle. “You, you were just thinking about the baby. Me, me I was thinking about the baby and you. Understand?”
“Yeah. Go get me my son, old timer,” you said, shutting your eyes again.
“Yes mam,” he said, rubbing your arm. “You did real good today, kiddo.”
“I’m getting a letter later, aren’t I,” you said. He laughed and felt him ruffle your hair.
“I’ll save it for when you guys head home. Nothing’s gonna top this,” he said. You heard the door open and opened your eyes, TJ walking inside with a bundle of blankets in his arms.
“You’re kind of a badass, you know that right?” he said.
“It’s why you married me, isn’t it?” you teased. “I want to meet him.”
“I told you I’d bring you back around to see mommy,” he said. Your dad slipped out as TJ sat on the edge of the bed and handed you over your son. You giggled when you saw the black head of hair under his blue cap. “Told you he’d have my hair.”
“It’s a good thing your daddy is pretty,” you said, booping his little nose. “How’d you get here so fast?”
“I was at work. I took the stairs and then sprinted over. The hospital’s only a few blocks away,” he said.
“Why are you in scrubs?” you laughed.
“May or may not have ripped my pants in the said sprinting. Your mom is gonna bring me some clothes when she comes up. Somebody had to go and be all dramatic with his entrance,” he said.
“Dad said the doctor got my due date wrong,” you said.
“Based on my math, you actually did get pregnant that first night we fooled around. Your period was super light when you had it and the doctor did say some people can have them during pregnancy, especially at the beginning if…”
“Dude. I know how it works,” you said. “He’s cute.”
“I know. There’s a couple of really ugly babies down the hall. We got lucky,” he said. You laughed and the baby looked up at you, quickly shutting his eyes. “Someone’s smitten.”
“He’s not the only one,” you said. “You ever decide on a boy’s name?”
“What do you think about Colin? I know it wasn’t on the list but-”
“It’s perfect,” you said, giving the baby a kiss. “Just like you, aren’t you Colin.”
One Week Later
“Dad,” you said when you caught him peeking over the back of the couch again. “He didn’t wake up in the span of the last three seconds you weren’t looking at him.”
“Your father’s in love,” laughed your mom as she set a bag of takeout down in front of you. “I got tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos and brisket per your request.”
“Mmm,” you said, TJ reaching his hand into the bag. You stared up at him and he slowly backed away. “That’s what I thought.”
“TJ, yours is in with the other containers,” she said, setting a few containers down on the counter. Your siblings all grabbed one and took off to the movie room, JJ taking Allie up with them and your mom and TJ wandering into the kitchen and talking quietly. Your dad was still looking over the back of the couch and smiling down into the crib.
“He awake?” you asked.
“No. Just adorable,” he said.
“Well get dinner grandpa,” you said, reaching over to the end table for your drink and pausing. You shut your eyes and felt it pass, your dad suddenly right there and helping you to your feet. “Thanks.”
“Still sore?”
“Oh yeah,” you said. You sat up at the counter, grabbing a taco first and taking a big bite. “I’ve been dying for one of these for months.”
“Hopefully the spice doesn’t bother you too much,” he said, stealing a nacho from your bag. He looked over at the crib, Colin making a half-giggle sound. “Kiddo. Do me a favor.”
“What?” you asked.
“Enjoy it. They grow up faster than you think,” he said.
“I know,” you said. He nodded and you saw him look sad for a split second. “Dad?”
“Hm?”
“Just cause I made a baby doesn’t mean I’m not your kid anymore,” you said. “Based on how you are, I’ll never grow up so win-win for you.”
“Loser,” he said, ruffling your hair with a smile before he took your burrito. “Speaking of which, I was gonna prank the trio once they start watching scary movies later. You in?”
“Duh,” you said.
“That’s my girl.”
